THIS little book has been designed to meet practical difficulties, and is the result of personal experience. In teaching, week by week, in the Sunday-school, it has been found very difficult to select portions of the gospels suitable as lessons for young people, and sufficiently connected to exhibit the life and teaching of Jesus in an interesting form. It is therefore hoped that the present work, which contains the main outline of the words and deeds of Christ, may lead many to reverence and love the founder of the Christian faith; and, at the same time, be a stepping-stone to the intelligent use of the gospels themselves.
