At a meeting of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, held in Philadelphia, in May, 1816.

The Stated and Permanent Clerks, and the Rev. George C. Potts, were appointed a committee to select the extracts of the minutes of this Assembly, proper to be printed.

Mr. William Bradford, No. 8, south Front street, is employed as the agent for forwarding the printed Extracts to the Presbyteries; and to him must the Presbyteries apply in future, for their respective portions of the printed Extracts.

The Rev. Jacob J. Janeway, D. D. the Stated Clerk, resides in Philadelphia, NO. 208, Arch street.

THE General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, met, agreeably to appointment, in the First Presbyterian Church in the City of Philadelphia, at 11 o'clock, A. M. and was opened by the Rev. Wm. Neill, D. D. the moderator of the last Assembly, with a sermon from Heb. xiii. 17. last clause of the verse: "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves; for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.'

After prayer, the commissions were read; and it appeared that the following ministers and elders were duly appointed and attended as Commissioners to this Assembly: viz.
