The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped...Ps. xxviii. 7.

The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.-8.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.-Isa. xli. 10.

The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon high places... Habak. iii. 19.

And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord. -Zech. x. 12.

GOD REQUIRES OF US JUSTICE AND JUDGMENT.

Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.-Ex. xxiii. 6.

Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.-7.

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.-Lev. xix. 15.

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.—35.

Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord your God.-36. Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates...and they shall judge the people with just judgment.-Deut. xvi. 18.

Thou shalt not wrest judgment;

respect persons, neither take a gift

thou shalt not

for a gift doth

blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.-19.

That which is altogether just shalt thou follow,

that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.-Deut. xvi. 20.

If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be her's that was hated:-Deut. xxi. 15.

Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:-16.

But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.-17.

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.-Deut. xxiv. 16.

Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge.-17.

Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.-Deut. xxv. 13.

But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have.-15.

For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.-16.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the
