By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.-Prov. xxii. 4.

Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long.—Prov. xxiii. 17. Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.Prov. xxviii. 14.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.— Prov. xxxi. 30.

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever nothing can be put to it, nor anything taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.-Eccl. iii. 14.

... Surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him.-Eccl. viii. 12. ...Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.-Eccl. xii. 13.

THE WONDERFUL WORKS

OF THE CREATOR.

And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide... Gen. xxiv. 63.

And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.-Ex. iii. 3.

And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush...4.

Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the Gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?-Ex. xv. 11.

Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.Deut. iv. 39.

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.-Deut. viii. 5.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.-2.
