With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure...

Ps. xviii. 26.

It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.-32.

Who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place ?-Ps. xxiv. 3.

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart;...4. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.-5. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord.-Ps. xxvi. 6.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.—Ps. xxxvii. 37.

Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.-Ps. lxxiii. 1.

But it is good for me to draw near to God...28. Preserve my soul; for I am holy... Ps. lxxxvi. 2. ...For unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.-4.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. 0 when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.—Ps. ci. 2,

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes...it shall not cleave to me.-3.

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.-Ps. cxix. 1.

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me... Ps. cxxxviii. 8.

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.-Prov. ii. 21.

In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.-Prov. xii. 28. ...The words of the pure are pleasant words.Prov. xv. 26.

And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem.-Isa. iv. 3.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it...Isa. xxxv. 8.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God... Isa. lxi. 6.

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord...Isa. lxii. 12.

Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.-Lam. iii. 41.

But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the Children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me,... Eze. xliv. 15.

And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.-23.

GOD SEETH THE HEART,

HIS POWER TOUCHETH IT.

And the Lord said unto Noah,... thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.-Gen. vii. 1.

And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me.... Gen. xx. 6.

...See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel... Ex. xxxv. 30.

And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge...31.

And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab...34.

Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work...35.

And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it.-Ex. xxxvi. 2.

And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee,

and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.-1 Sam. x. 6.

And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart...9. And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.-26.

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart.-1 Sam. xvi. 7. ...And the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward...13.

And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.-1 Kings iii. 7.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad for who is able to judge this thy so great a people ?-9.

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;-11.

Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo,

I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart....1 Kings iii. 12.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.-1 Kings iv. 29.

The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us :1 Kings viii. 57.

That he may incline our hearts unto him...58.

And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.-1 Kings x. 24.

Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.-1 Kings xviii. 37. ...For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts... 1 Ch. xxviii. 9.

I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness....1 Ch. xxix. 17.

O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:-18.

And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments...19.

Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for
