Does the above total include any sum appropriated or secured as a building fund?. The above schedule calls for about 70 items and subitems. More prompt and satisfactory returns could have been obtained by issuing a questionnaire less comprehensive in its scope. An examination of the tables of detailed statistics will show that even many of the larger libraries failed to furnish all the desired information.
