Through. I. LESSON. Ecclus. xliv. 22. THE blessing of the Lord is upon the head of the righteous. Therefore the Lord gave him an heritage, and divided his portion among the twelve tribes. And he found favour in the sight of all flesh. And He magnified him so that his enemies stood in fear of him. By His words He caused the wonders to cease: He made him glorious in the sight of kings, and gave him a commandment for His people, and showed him His glory. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand ?
