The number of employees, 11,448, was fewer than in 1922, but the average number of days worked was greater-181, as compared with 131. The average quantity produced per day in Iowa and the neighboring trans-Mississippi States for the years 1918-1922 and for each month in 1923 is shown in Figure 49. Conditions were not unlike in these States, varying in degree only.
