THE REV. ROBT. B. NELSON, Rector, Blacksburg.

REMARKS. This is a Mission Point where the Rector of Christ Church, Blacksburg, holds service on the afternoon of the fourth Sunday of each month.

These services are held in Metamoras School House. The attendance frequently taxes the capacity of the building. A thriving and enthusiastic Sunday School is held every Sunday afternoon. The Mission owns an organ and a bountiful supply of Prayer Books and Hymnals.

The officers and teachers in the Sunday School are members of the several religious bodies represented in the neighborhood, and are assisted by cadets from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Offerings have been taken for Missions, and for the benefit of the Virginia Theological Seminary.

EMMANUEL CHURCH (Montgomery Parish), HIGH TOP (or Yellow Sulphur Cross Roads, near Blacksburg).

THE REV. ROBT. B. NELSON, Rector, Blacksburg.

REMARKS. This is a Mission Church where the Rector of Christ Church, Blacksburg, holds service every Sunday night.

The land for this Church was given (about two years ago) by a Baptist lady, and is now held by trustees for Emmanuel Episcopal Church. During the past year a beautiful Mission Church has been built upon this lot, at a cost of $909.00, upon which there is now only $25.00 of debt. It is interesting to note that this building is situated directly upon the top of the "Divide" so that the drainage from one side of the lot flows to the Atlantic slope, and from the other side of the lot it flows to the Mississippi Valley.

Bishop Tucker visited this Church some weeks ago and the many members of the various denominations will never forget the joy of this service.

There is also a regularly organized Sunday School at Emmanuel Church. The officers and teachers of this Sunday School are members of the several religious bodies of the neighborhood, and are assisted in the work by cadets from the Virginia Polytechnic

ST. JAMES' CHURCH (Radford Parish), EAST RADFORD.

(Dormant.)

REMARKS.-The Church building here is located upon an undesirable lot between two railroad tracks. When the question of getting another lot and moving the Church was taken up, it was found that there was a condition in the deed which specifically stated that the land would revert to the original owners should the services of the Episcopal Church be discontinued. The original owners when approached upon the subject would not consent to the removal of the building. The building was used for a short time by a congregation of Colored Episcopalians. The former white communicants, now living in East Radford, are enrolled upon the register of Grace Church, Radford.

So this Church is reported "Dormant."
