2 Thy justice shall maintain its throne
Though mountains melt away;
Thy judgments are a world unknown,
A deep unfathomed sea.

3 Thy hand sustains all living things;
Thy providence how kind!
Beneath the shadow of Thy wings
Thy children safety find.

4 From Thee, when earthly streams run low,
And mortal comforts die,
Perpetual springs of life shall flow,
And raise our pleasures high.

5 Though all created light decay,
And death close up our eyes,
Thy presence makes eternal day
Where clouds can never rise.

Y God, in whom are all the springs
Of boundless love, and grace unknown,
Hide me beneath Thy spreading wings,
Till the dark cloud is overblown.

2 Up to the heavens I send my cry,
The Lord will my desires perform ;
He sends His angels from the sky,
And saves me from the threatening storm.
Be Thou exalted, O my God!

3

Above the heavens, where angels dwell;
Thy power on earth be known abroad,

And land to land Thy wonders tell.
4 High o'er the earth Thy mercy reigns,
And reaches to the utmost sky;
Thy truth to endless years remains,

When lower worlds dissolve and die.

5 Be Thou exalted, O my God!
Above the heavens, where angels dw
Thy power on earth be known abroad,
And land to land Thy wonders tell.

Psalm xcvii.

EHOVAH reigns exalted high

O'er all the earth, o'er all the s Though clouds and darkness veil H His dwelling is the mercy-seat.

2 O ye that love His holy name,
Hate every work of sin and shame;
He guards the souls of all His friends,
And from the snares of hell defends.

3 Immortal light and joys unknown
Are for the saints in darkness sown ;
Those glorious seeds shall spring and rise,
And the bright harvest bless our eyes.
4 Rejoice, ye righteous, and record
The sacred honours of the Lord;
None but the soul that feels His grace
Can triumph in His holiness.

Thy praise to speak;

Your God, ye angels, sing;
'Tis yours to see,

More near than we,

The glories of our King.

Help me, ye angel-choirs divine! 4 Thou dost the lawless sea control,

And check and change the restless
Thou mak'st the sleeping billows roll
Thou mak'st the rolling billows slee
5 Thy arm is strong, Thy hand is high;
Justice and judgment round Thee
And who can better tell than I,
Thou art as good as Thou art great

Psalm cxxxviii.

'H all my powers of heart and t I'll praise my Maker in my son Angels shall hear the notes I raise, Approve the song, and join the praise

2 Angels that make Thy Church their care
Shall witness my devotions there ;
While holy zeal directs mine eyes
To Thy fair temple in the skies.
3 I'll sing Thy truth and mercy, Lord,
I'll sing the wonders of Thy word;
Not all Thy works and names below,
So much Thy power and glory show.
4 To God I cried when troubles rose ;
He heard me, and subdued my foes;
He did my rising fears control,

And strength diffused through all my soul:
5 Amidst a thousand snares I stand,
Upheld and guarded by Thy hand;
Thy words my fainting soul revive,
And keep my dying faith alive.

6 Grace will complete what grace begins,
To save from sorrows or from sins;
The work that wisdom undertakes
Eternal mercy ne'er forsakes.
