Bruce C. Birch is Dean and Woodrow W. and Mildred B. Miller Professor of Biblical Theology at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He is a contributing author to volume II of the New Interpreter's Bible and The Old Testament: A Theological Introduction. Larry L. Rasmussen is the the Reinhold Niebuhr Professor of Social Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He has authored a number of books, including Earth Community, Earth Ethics, and Earth Habitat: Eco-Injustice and the Church's Response.
