Thy Sabbaths I am taught to keep, And to thy house I'm led to hear, Thou dost remember me. 'Tis there I learn that Jesus died, Upon the painful tree; And heard the thief, who to him cried, "Dear Lord, remember me." ON Samuel, a tender child, The Lord in kind compassion smil'd, And call'd him by his sov'reign grace, To do his will, and seek his face: The youth replied, in holy fear, "Speak, Lord, for I thy servant hear."
