ALMIGHTY GOD, our Heavenly Father, I

thank Thee that Thou hast brought me in health and safety to the beginning of another day. Be pleased to watch over me this day, and to preserve me from all dangers both of body and soul. Help me, by Thy grace, to strive against all sin; to resist the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil; and to get the better of all bad tempers and unholy dispositions. Make me to feel that I cannot by myself do any thing that is good; and teach me so to pray for the gift of Thy Holy Spirit, that under His blessed influence I may be holy, humble, thankful, and obedient. Pardon all my sins for the sake of Jesus Christ, who so loved poor sinners, that He shed His precious
