JUNE

Lay up these my words in your heart.

-Deut. 11:18.

GOD'S GIFTS

11

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a
corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

12 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Matt. 7:17

Matt. 7:18

13

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread,
will he give him a stone?

Matt.

7:9

14 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

15

16

17

Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give
the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen
do... Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your
Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask
him.

Consider the ravens : for they neither sow nor reap; which
neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them:
how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Matt.

7:10

Luke

11:12,

13

Matt..

heart.

Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you.

THE POOR AND THE RICH

For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offer-
ings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living 19

that she had.

Mark 14:7

For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye
will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

20

Luke

14:13,

But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot 21 14' recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

Luke

Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. But 6:20, woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your con24 solation.

How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingLuke dom of God!

[blocks in formation]

25

18:24 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Luke 6:25

Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe
unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

24

The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

I Cor. 10:16, 17.

Man did eat angels' food.

GOD POWER

-Ps. 78:25.

Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth 25 shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matt. 18:18

26

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are sub-
ject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are
written in heaven.

Luke

10:20

27

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this
rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it.

28

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not
pass away.

earth to forgive sins, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto
thine house.

the power of God.

who

giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth forever.

tion and every city or house divided against itself shall not
stand.

came out; and when he is come he findeth it empty, swept,
and garnished.

Matt. 21:19

Let no

fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever.

8

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Luke

4:12
