If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.

PERSISTENCY THAT IS FAITH

-John 7:37.

NOV.

Luke There was in a city a judge which feared not God, neither 19 18:2 regarded man ;

Luke And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, 20 18:3 saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said Luke within himself, Though I fear not God nor regard man: Yet 18:4, 5 because this widow troubleth me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

21

18:6

Luke Hear what the unjust judge saith.

22

Luke And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day 23 18:7 and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Luke

18:8

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the 24

earth?

say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in

Israel.

And all the people went their way to eat and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

-Neh. 8:12

My words abide in you.

IMPORTUNITY THAT WINS

26

Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him
at midnight and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

Luke

11:5

27

For a friend of mine in his journey has come to me, and I
have nothing to set before him?

Luke

11:6

28

And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not,
the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed;
I cannot rise and give thee.

Luke

11:7

29

I say unto you, though he will not rise and give him, because
he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise
and give him as many as he needeth.

Luke

11:8

30

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, Luke and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

11:9

DEC.

1

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke

11:10

2

With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God Mark all things are possible.

10:27

Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said I would keep thy words. Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

-Ps. 119:57, 67.

Matt.

This do in remembrance of me. A

THE REGENERATION

All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
For there are some eunuchs which were so born from their mother's
womb and there are some eunuchs which were made eunuchs of
men: and there be eunuchs which have made themselves eunuchs
for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it
let him receive it.

Luke They which be accounted worthy to obtain that world and
20:35 the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given
in marriage.

Matt. Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the 13:11, 9 kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Mark

One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou 10:21 hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

John 6:56

He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in Matt. me and I in him. For this is my blood of the new testa26:28 ment, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Luke

A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air 8:5, 12 devoured it. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Luke 8:6, 13

And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it
withered away, because it lacked moisture. They on the rock are
they which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these
have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation
fall away.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER

10

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art
in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do 11 they reap, nor gather into barns: yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Matt.

6:9

Matt.

6:26

12

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven,
that one of these little ones should perish.

Matt.

18:14

13

But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which
is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Mark

11:26

14

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father
which speaketh in you.

Matt. 10:20

15

Go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my
Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

John 20:17

Wait for the promise of the Father, which ye have heard of

16

Acts 1:4

me.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

Ps. 119: 101

They have kept thy word.

-John 17:6.

FORETELLING

DEC.

John And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when 14:29 it is come to pass, ye might believe.

17

16:1

John These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

18

John Now I tell you before it come, that when it is come to 13:19 pass, ye may believe that I am he.

19

John These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with

14:25

you.

But these things have I told you, that, when the time shall John come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these 16:4 things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

John 17:8

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest
me; and they have received them, and have known surely
that I came out from thee, and they have believed that 23
thou didst send me.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
