The enclosed report contains a listing of each housing program under the Federal Government, a brief explanation of its purpose, how it operates, the extent of its coverage, and its progress through 1968 and 1969 where available. The programs are those administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Transportation, the Veterans' Administration, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, and the Farmers Home Administration of the Department of Agriculture. The report also contains a short statement on housing activity in the past year. The purpose of this material is to make available in one publication for Members of Congress and the public a listing and short explanation of each housing and urban development program in the Federal Government.
