U. S. Consul. FORM No. 131. Mode of calculating consular salaries. (Paragraph 567.) Consular salaries must be calculated by the quarter, and for both days inclusive. The same mode of calculation must be observed with regard to fractions of quarters. The following calculations are given as examples, viz: EXAMPLE No. 1. For amount of my salary as consul at from 1st January to 31st March, 1896, inclusive, being one quarter, at the rate of $3,500 per annum EXAMPLE No. 2.
