interest, thus assuring peace, happiness and
prosperity to all the people, thereby preserving
to future generations the ideals advanced by
Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln, and
real democracy upon
the perpetuation of
which the United States of America was
founded.

To restore the government intended by our forefathers, and for the welfare of this and future generations, we demand the establishment of an economic and financial system which shall make us masters of our own affairs and independent of foreign control by the adoption of the following platform:

We demand the repeal of the federal reserve bank act and the establishment of an American financial system of governmentowned banks with the direct issue of full legal tender currency at its face value for all debts, public and private, by congress, as the constitution provides. in amounts sufficient to meet all public demands; and we favor loaning money direct to the people at a rate of interest not to exceed 3 per cent.

We favor the immediate payment of a soldiers' bonus to all ex-service men or their dependents of the Spanish-American and late world war, to be paid in full legal tender currency, issued direct by the government to those entitled to same.

We demand the abolition of the electoral college and the election of president and vicepresident of the United States by direct vote of the people.

We demand that all outstanding government bonds be declared full legal tender, or exchangeable for currency at their par value, and that no further bonds be issued, thereby reducing unjust and burdensome taxation.

Whenever producers are put in jeopardy by reason of monopolistic control of that which is vital to each individual, it becomes the duty of the whole people to force adequate The a monopoly over. Competition or take federal machinery must be used to that end so the government can function for all the people.

We

We demand that the declaration of war be submitted to a referendum of the people, except in the event of foreign invasion. desire friendly relations with all nations on earth where difficulties arise that they may be settled by open, not secret, diplomacy.

We demand direct legislation through the establishment of a national initiative and referendum law, and in the recognition of God and the brotherhood of man. we favor the granting of independence to the people of the Philippine islands.

We demand equal rights for women in every walk of life.

we

Confident in the justice of our cause and the necessity of its success at the polls, submit the foregoing declaration of principles and purposes to the consideration and judgment of the people. We invite the support of all citizens who approve them and who desire to have them made effective through legislation for the relief of the people and restoration of the country's prosperity and safety. We demand a liberal appropriation rivers and harbors.
