said,' I tell you that, if these hold their peace, the stones will immediately cry out.

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee," and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knowest not the time of thy visitation.

And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. And he went into the temple, and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, and said unto him, Hearest thou what these say! ? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea: have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this to the fig tree, but also whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what1 he saith shall come to pass; he shall have it. Therefore I say unto you, all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

And Jesus said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things: the baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet indeed." And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell.
