day, to be with the President of the United States, which is where he was. Then he left the President of the United States yesterday afternoon at Laredo, Tex., flew to Billings, Mont., in the dark, and got into the aircraft provided by the Department and flew down here and got in here at 10 o'clock at night. He spent the night and today is presiding over our hearings. Otherwise, this field hearing could not have been held. If the field hearing could not be held, the legislation would be that much more delayed. I want to express the unanimous appreciation for your being here and presiding and for your patience and understanding at our hearings. Thank you very much. [Applause.] Mr. KAZEN. Thank you. The meeting is adjourned.

(Whereupon at 1:10 p.m., the hearing was adjourned.)
