[And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about Revelation, the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, forever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth forever and ever.

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened.

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him : and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

J Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning-star.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Divinity of the Boly Spirit.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And | Gen. i. 1, 2. the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the Lord, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle. And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad; and the Spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp. And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his Spirit apon them.

And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes, and the Spirit of God came upon him. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said.

The anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim, king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushan-rishathaim eight years. And when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother. And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the Lord delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim. And the land had rest forty years.

And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson. And the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. And the Spirit of the

Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan, between
Zorah and Eshtaol.

Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and behold, a young lion roared against him. And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle.

Then the Philistines went up and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi. And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us. Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them. And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves. And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.

And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the Locd came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. And he found a new jaw-bone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.

And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies; tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web. And she fastened it with a pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? Thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. And it came to pass when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death; that he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then wp strength will go from me, and

I shall become weak, and be like any
other man. And when De-
lilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for
the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath
shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up
unto her, and brought money in their hand. And she made him
sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused
him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to
afflict him, and his strength went from him. And she said, the
Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep,
and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself.
And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.

But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought
him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he
did grind in the prison-house. Howbeit the hair of his head began
to grow again after he was shaven. Then the lords of the Philis-
tines gathered them together, for to offer a great sacrifice unto
Dagon their God, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath de-
livered Samson our enemy into our hand. And when the people
saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath de-
livered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country,
which slew many of us. And it came to pass, when their hearts
were merry, that they said, Call for Samson that he may make us
sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison-house; and
he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars. And
Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me
that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I
may lean upon them. Now the house was full of men and women:
and all the lords of the Philistines were there and there were upon
the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while
Samson made sport. And Samson called unto the Lord, and said,
O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I
pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once
avenge dof the Philistines for my two eyes. And Samson took
hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on
which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the
other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Phil-
istines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house
fell upon
the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So
the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he
slew in his life.

x. 1-10.

Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, 1 Samuel, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? When thou art departed from me to-day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What
