THE objects of the Rationalist Press Committee are: (1) To issue or assist in the issue of Rationalist publications. systematic distribution of Rationalist literature.

(2) To carry on a

The constitution of the Committee is as follows: It consists of seven members-Messrs. G. J. HOLYOAKE, R. BITHELL, JOHN S. DRYDEN, F. J. GOULD, CHARLES E. HOOPER, CHARLES T. GORHAM, and CHARLES A. WATTS.

Vacancies are filled up soon after their occurrence.

The office of the Committee is at 17, Johnson's Court, Fleet Street, London, E. C.

The Chairman of the Committee is Mr. G. J. HOLYOAKE.

The Treasurer and Business Secretary is Mr. CHARLES A. WATTS. (Note. The funds of the Committee are deposited in the Midland Bank, Blackfriars Branch, in a separate account, in the name of Charles A. Watts.)

The Literary and General Correspondence Secretary is Mr. F. J. GOULD.

The Printers and Publishers of the Committee are Messrs. WATTS & Co.

The Auditor is Mr. ELLIS THURTELL, M. A.

All officers are unpaid, and the use of a room for Committee meetings is given by Mr. Watts free of charge.

Committee meetings are held in January, March, May, July, September, November, and at such other times as the Committee deem desir able.

If at any meeting questions of importance arise, the opinions of absent members are, as a rule, consulted before action is taken.

The Committee's report will be annually presented to a meeting of subscribers, not for amendment (since the Committee are entirely and personally responsible for the management of the funds), but in order to provide subscribers and friends with an opportunity of discussing the work and prospects of the Committee, and making suggestions for the future.

Finance. The Committee depends (at present) entirely upon annual contributions. The funds will, as a rule, and with the exception of sums set aside for special purposes, be expended during the year in which they are received.
