Uns Jefus antwortete, und redete abermal durch Gleichnisse zu ihnen, und sprach: 2 Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Könige, der seinem Sohne Hochzeit machte; 3 Und sandte seine Knechte aus, daß sie die Gäste zur Hochzeit riefen; und sie wollten nicht kommen. 4 Abermal sandte er andere Knechte aus, und sprach: Saget den Gästen: Siehe, meine Mahlzeit habe ich bereitet, meine Ochsen und mein Mastvieh ist gefchlachtet, und alles bereit; kommt zur Hochzeit. 5 Aber sie verachteten das, und gingen hin, einer auf seinen Acker, der andere zu seiner Handthierung. 6 Ettiche aber griffen seine Knechte, höhneten und tödteten sie. 7 Da das der König hörete, ward er zornig, und schickte seine Heere aus, und brachte diese Mörder um, und zündete ihre Stadt an. 8 Da sprach er zu seinen Knechten : Die Hochzeit ist zwar bereitet, aber die Gäste waren es nicht werth. 9 Darum gehet hin auf die Straßen, und ladet zur Hochzeit, wen ihr findet. 10 Und die Knechte gingen aus auf die Straßen, und brachten zusammen, wen sie fanden, Böse und Gute. Und die Tische wurden alle voll. 11 Da ging der König hinein, die Gäste zu beschen; und sah allda einen Menschen, der hatte kein hochzeitliches Kleid an, 12 Und sprach zu ihm: Freund, wie bist du herein gelommen, und hast doch 46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. CHAPTER XXII. AND Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise. 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 ¶ And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither, not ha kein hochzeitliches Kleid an? Da gingen die Pharisäer hin, und hielten einen Nath, wie sie ihn fingen in seiner Rede; 16 Und fandten zu ihm ihre Jünger, famt Herodes Dienern, und sprachen: Meister, wir wissen, daß du wahrhaftig bist, und lehrest den Weg Gottes recht, und du fragest nach Niemand; denn du achtest nicht das Ansehen der Menschen. 17 Darum fage uns, was dünkt dich? Ist es recht, daß man dem Kaiser Zins gebe, oder nicht? 18 Da nun Jesus merkte ihre Schalt 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen. 15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. 16 And they sent out unto him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. 17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cesar, or not? 18 But Jesus perceived their wickheit, sprach er: Ihr Heuchler, was ver-edness, and said, Why tempt ye me, sucht ihr mich? 19 Weiset mir die Zinsmünze! Und sie reichten ihm einen Groschen dar. 20 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Weßz ist das Bild und die Ueberschrift? 21 Sie sprachen zu ihm: Des Kaisers. Da sprach er zu ihnen: So gebet dem Kaiser, was des Kaisers ist, und Gott, was Gottes ist! 22 Da sie das höreten, verwunderten sie sich, und ließen ihn, und gingen davon. 23 An demselbigen Tage traten zu ihm die Sadducäer, die da halten, es seh keine Auferstehung; und fragten ihn, 24 Und sprachen: Meister, Moses hat gesagt: So einer stirbt, und hat nicht Kinder, fo foll sein Bruder sein Weib freyen, und seinem Bruder Samen erwecken. 25 Nun sind bey uns gewesen sieben Brüder. Der Erste frehete, und starb; und dieweil er nicht Samen hatte, ließ er sein Weib seinem Bruder. 26 Desselbigen gleichen der Andere, und der Dritte, bis an den Siebenten. ye hypocrites? 19 Shew me the tribute-money. And they brought unto him a penny. 20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image, and superscription? 21 They say unto him, Cesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cesar, the things which are Cesar's; and unto God, the things that are God's." 22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way. 23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased; and having no issue, left his wife unto his brother. 26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 27 Zuletzt nach allen starb auch das | Weib. 28 Nun in der Auferstehung, wessen Weib wird sie sehn unter den Sieben? Sie haben ste ja alle gehabt. 29 Jesus aber antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr irret, und wisset die Schrift nicht, noch die Kraft Gottes. 30 In der Auferstehung werden sie weder freyen, noch sich frehen lassen; sondern sie sind gleichwie die Engel Gottes im Himmel. 31 Habt ihr aber nicht gelesen von der Todten Auferstehung, das euch gesagt ist von Gott, da er spricht: 32 Ich bin der Gott Abrahams, und der Gott Isaaks, und der Gott Jakobs? Gott aber ist nicht ein Gott der Todten, sondern der Lebendigen. 33 Und da solches das Volk hörete, entsetzten sie sich über seiner Lehre. 34 Da aber die Pharisäer höreten, daß er den Sadducäern das Maul gestopfet hatte, versammelten sie sich. 35 Und Einer unter ihnen, ein Schriftgelehrter, versuchte ihn, und sprach: 36 Meister, welches ist das vornehmste Gebot im Gesetze ? 37 Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Du sollst lieben Gott, deinen Herrn, von ganzem Herzen, von ganzer Seele, und von ganzem Gemüthe. 38 Dies ist das vornehmste und größefte Gebot. 39 Das andere aber ist dem gleich: Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben als dich selbst. 40 In diesen zwehen Geboten hanget das ganze Gesetz und die Propheten. 41 Da nun die Pharisäer bey einander waren, fragte sie Jesus, 42 Und sprach: Wie dünket euch um Christo? Wes Sohn ist er? Sie sprachen: Davids. 43 Er sprach zu ihnen: Wie nennet ihn denn David im Geiste einen Herrn, da er sagt: 27 And last of all the woman died also. 28 Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. 34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 35 Then one of them which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. 41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. 43 He saith unto them, How the doth David in spirit call him I saying, 44 Der Herr hat gesagt zu meinem Herrn Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis daß ich lege deine Feinde zum Schemel deiner Füsse? 45 So nun David ihn einen Herrn nennet, wie ist er denn sein Sohn? 46 Und Niemand konnte ihm ein Wort antworten, und durfte auch Niemand von dem Tage an hinfort ihn fragen. Das 23 Capitel. Da redete Jesus zu dem Volke, und zu seinen Jüngern, 2 Und sprach: Auf Mosis Stuhle sitzen die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer. 3 Alles nun, was sie euch sagen, das ihr halten sollt, das haltet und thut e8; aber nach ihren Werken sollt ihr nicht thun. Sie sagen es wohl, und thun es nicht. 4 Sie binden aber schwere und unerträgliche Bürden, und legen sie den Menschen auf den Hals; aber sie wollen dieselbigen nicht mit einem Finger regen. 5 Alle ihre Werke aber thun sie, daß sie von den Leuten gesehen werden. Sie machen ihre Denkzettel breit, und die Säume an ihren Kleidern groß. 6 Sie sitzen gerne oben an über Tische und in den Schulen, 7 Und haben es gerne, daß sie gegrüßet werden auf dem Markte, und von den Menschen Rabbi genannt werden. 8 Aber ihr sollt euch nicht Nabbi nennen lassen; denn Einer ist euer Meister, Christus; ihr aber seyd alle Brüder. 9 und sollt Niemand Vater heißen auf Erden: denn Einer ist euer Vater, der im Himmel ist. 10 Und ihr sollt euch nicht lassen Meister nennen: denn Einer ist euer Meister, Christus. 11 Der Größeste unter euch soll euer Diener seyn. 12 Denn wer sich selbst erhöhet, der wird erniedriget; und wer sich selbst erniedriget, der wird erhöhet. 44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till Í make thine enemies thy footstool? 45 If David then called him Lord, how is he his son ? 46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man, from that day forth, ask him any more questions. THESE CHAPTER XXIII. HEN spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do: but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens, and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. 5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. 8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you, shall be your servant. 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be abased: and he that shall humble himself, shall be exalted. 13 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrten und Pharifäern, ihr Heuchler, die ihr das Himmelreich zuschließet vor den Menschen ihr fommt nicht hinein, und die hinein wollen, lasset ihr nicht hinein gehen. 14 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrten und Pharifäern, ihr Heuchler, die ihr der Wittwen Häuser fresset, und wendet lange Gebete vor! darum werdet ihr desto mehr Verdammniß empfangen. 15 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäern, ihr Heuchler, die ihr Land und Wasser umziehet, daß ihr einen Judengenossen machet; und wenn er es geworden ist, macht ihr aus ihm ein Kind der Hölle, zwiefältig mehr, denn ihr seyd! 16 Wehe euch, verblendete Leiter, die ihr faget: Wer da schwöret bey dem Tempel, das ist nichts; wer aber schwöret bey dem Golde am Tempel, der ist schuldig. 17 Jhr Narren und Blinde! was ist größer, das Gold, oder der Tempel, der das Gold heiliget? 18 Wer da schwöret beh dem Altare, das ist nichts; wer aber schwöret bey dem Opfer, das droben ist, der ist schuldig. 19 Jhr Narren und Blinde! was ist größer, das Opfer, oder der Altar, der das Opfer heiliget? 20 Darum, wer da schwöret bey dem Altare, der schwöret bey demselben, und bey allem, das droben ist. 21 Und wer da schwöret beh dem Tempel, der schwöret bey demselbigen, und beh dem, der darinnen wohnet. 22 Und wer da schwöret bey dem Himmel, der schwöret bey dem Stuhle Gottes, und bey dem, der darauf sitzt. 13 T But wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering, to go in. 14 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 15 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is made, ye make him two-fold more the child of hell than yourselves. 16 Wo unto you, ye blind guides! which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor. 17 Ye fools, and blind! for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? 18 And whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. 19 Ye fools, and blind! for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? 20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. 21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. 22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. 23 Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrten und 23 Wo unto you, scribes and Pharifäern, ihr Heuchler, die ihr ver- Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay zehntet die Münze, Till und Kümmel, tithe of mint, and anise, and cumund laßt dahinten das Schwerste im min, and have omitted the weightGesetze, nemlich das Gericht, die Varm-ier matters of the law, judgment, herzigkeit und den Glauben!
