hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Chapter XI.

4 THIS sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

7 Let us go into Judea again.

9 Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

11 Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go that I may awake him out of sleep.

14 Lazarus is dead.

15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may

36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.

44 He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Chapter XIII.

7 WHAT I do thou knowest not now: but thou shalt know hereafter.

8 If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

10 He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit : and ye are clean, but not all.

12 Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

17 If ye know these

whom I have chosen: but that the scriptures may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
