I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jefus rebuked him, faying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. 26 And when the unclean fpirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. 27 And they were all amazed, infomuch that they questioned among themfelves, faying, What thing is C 3 this? this? what new doctrine is led into a folitary place, and there prayed. this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean fpirits, and they do obey him. 28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. 29 And forthwith when they were come out of the fynagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 But Simon's wife's mother lay fick of a fever; and anon they tell him of her. 31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up and immediately the fever left her, and fhe miniftered unto them. 36 And Simon, and they that were with him, followed after him. 37 And when they had found him, they faid unto him, All men feek for thee. 38 And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there alfo: for therefore came I forth. 39 And he preached in their fynagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. 40 And there came a leper to him, befeeching him, and kneeling down to him, and faying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And Jefus, moved with compaffion, put forth his 32¶ And at even, when the fun did fet, they brought unto him all that were dif-hand and touched him, and eafed, and them that were poffeffed with devils. 33 And all the city was gathered together at the door. faith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 42 And as foon as he had fpoken, immediately the leprofy departed from him, and he was cleanfed. 43 And he straitly charg him, and forthwith fent him away; 34 And he healed many that were fick of divers difeafes, and caft out many de-ed vils; and fuffered not the devils to fpeak, because they knew him. 35 And in the morning, rifing up a great while before day, he went out, and depart 44 And faith unto him, See thou fay nothing to any man: but go thy way, fhew thyfelf to the priest, and offer for thy cleanfing thofe things which Mofes commanded for a teftimony unto them. 45 But he went out, and began to publifh it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, infomuch that Jefus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in defert places: and they came to him from every quarter. A CHAP. XIII. 7 And when ye fhall hear of wars, and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for fuch things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8 For nation fhall rife against nation, and kingdom againft kingdom: and there fhall be earthquakes in divers places, and there fhall be famines, and troubles: thefe are the beginnings of for rows. 9¶ But take heed to yourfelves: for they fhall deliver ND as he went out of the temple, one of his difciples faith unto him, Maf-you up to councils; and in ter, see what manner of ftones and what buildings are here! 2 And Jefus anfwering faid unto him, Seeft thou these great buildings? there fhall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. the fynagogues ye fhall be beaten and ye fhall be brought before rulers and kings for my fake, for a teftimony against them. 10 And the gospel must firft be published among all nations. II But when they shall you, and deliver you up, 3 And as he fat upon the mount of Olives over against | lead the temple, Peter and James take no thought beforehand and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when fhall these things be? and what shall be the fign when all these things fhall be fulfilled? 5 And Jefus answering them began to fay, Take heed left any man deceive you: 6 For many fhall come in my name, faying, I am Chrift: and fhall deceive many. what ye fhall fpeak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatfoever fhall be given you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye that fpeak, but the Holy Ghost. 12 Now the brother fhall betray the brother to death, and the father the fon and children fhall rise up against their parents, and fhall cause them to be put to death. 13 And ye shall be hated C 4. of of all men for my name's fake. But he that shall endure unto the end, the fame fhall be faved. 14 ¶ But when ye fhall fee the abomination of defolation, fpoken of by Daniel the prophet, ftanding where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judea flee to the mountains : 15 And let him that is on the houfetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: 16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. 17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give fuck in those days! 18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. 19 For in thofe days fhall be affliction, fuch as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither fhall be. 20 And except that the Lord had fhortened thofe days, no flesh fhould be faved: but for the elect's fake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. 21 And then, if any man fhall fay to you, Lo, here is Chrift; or, lo, he is there; believe him not; 22 For falfe Chrifts and falfe prophets fhall rise, and fhall fhew figns and wonders, to feduce, if it were poffible, even the elect. 23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. 24 But in thofe days, after that tribulation, the fun fhall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25 And the stars of heaven fhall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. 26 And then shall they fee the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then shall he fend his angels, and fhall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermoft part of heaven. 28 Now learn a parable of the fig-tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that fummer is near: 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. 30 Verily I fay unto you, That this generation fhall not pass till all these things be done. 31 Heaven and earth fhall pafs away but my words fhall fhall not pass away. 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray for ye know not when the time is. : vants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the mafter of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning: 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his fer-you, I fay unto all, Watch. 36 Left coming fuddenly he find you fleeping.
