10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's fakes, that they may alfo obtain the falvation which is in Chrift Jefus, with eternal glory.

11 It is a faithful faying: For if we be dead with him, we fhall also live with him:

12 If we fuffer, we fhall alfo reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny

us:

13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord, that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the fubverting of the hearers. 15 Study to fhew thyfelf approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be afhamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

22 Flee alfo youthful lufts: but follow righteoufnefs, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

23 But foolish and unlearned queftions avoid, knowing that they do gender ftrifes,

24 And the fervant of the Lord must not ftrive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness inftructing thofe that oppose themfelves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

The Epiftle of PAUL to PHILEMON.

AUL, a prisoner of Jefus Chrift, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon, our dearly beloved and fellow-labourer,

2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow-foldier, and to the church in thy house:

3 Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jefus Christ.

6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jefus.

7 For we have great joy and confolation in thy love, because the bowels of the faints are refreshed by thee, brother.

4 I thank my God, mak-own bowels: ing mention of thee always in my prayers,

5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou haft toward the Lord Jefus, and toward all faints;

8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Chrift to injoin thee that which is convenient,

and now also a prifoner of Jefus Chrift.

10 I beseech thee for my fon Onefimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit fhould not be as it were of neceffity, but willingly.

15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou fhouldeft receive him for ever;

16 Not now as a fervant, but above a fervant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

18 If he hath wronged thee,

thee, or oweth thee ought, I wilt alfo do more than I fay.

22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

23 There falute thee Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Chrift Jefus ;

put that on mine account;

19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou oweft unto me even thine ownfelf befides.

20 Yea, brother let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
