THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO
1 Christ preacheth repentance upon the punishment of the Galileans, and others: 6 the fruitless fig tree may not stand: 11 he healeth the crooked woman: 18 showeth the powerful working of the word in the hearts of his chosen, by the parable of the grain of mustard seed, and of leaven: 24 exhorteth to enter in at the strait gate, 31 and reproveth Herod and Jerusalem.
THERE were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, 'Suppose ye that these Galilæans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things ?1
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye 'repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

shall come, from the presence of the Lord. REV. ii. 21, And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not "each one of you on
an infirmity of spirit. Wh. was utterly unable to raise herself upright. Dod. 6 delivered from thy disease. Co. Ma. Cr. Ud.
MARK, XVI. 18: They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ACTS, ix. 17: Ananias-putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul. See on Acts, vi. 6.
*EXOD. XX. 9: Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work. 1JOHN, v. 10: The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. See on MAT. xii. 10.

MAT. vii. 5: Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. do. xxiii. 13, 28: But woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men'; for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. LUKE, xii. 1: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
