duce suitable inferences, and familiarly and pointedly apply them to the incidents which daily occur amongst the children, he will find their attention arrested, and a deep interest excited throughout the school; and he may reasonably hope the youngest will carry away impressions of the greatest moment that never afterwards will be entirely effaced, and which are seldom made by merely repeating by rote what otherwise is commonly irksome to learn.
