NOTE.

A quotation is given, page 105, from Sir James Mackintosh's "History of England;" in one part of which, by some means, the name of John de la Pole, who married the sister of Edward IV., is confounded with Edmund de la Pole, his son, and therefore nephew to that monarch. It is to the latter that the conversation refers ; and therefore the name of Edmund de la Pole, who is mentioned in the latter part of the passage, should be substituted for John de la Pole.
