15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is made,

15 Gwae chwi, ysgrifenyddion a Phariseaid, ragrithwyr: canys amgylchu yr ydych y môr a'r tir, i wneuthur un proselyt; ac wedi y gwneler, yr ydych yn ei wneuth-ye make him twofold more the ur ef yn fab uffern, yn ddau mwy child of hell than yourselves. na chwi eich hunain.

16 Gwae chwi, dywysogion deillion, y rhai ydych yn dywedyd, Pwy bynnag a dwng i'r deml, nid yw ddim; ond pwy bynnag a dwng i aur y deml, y mae efe mewn dyled.

17 Ffyliaid, a deillion: canys pa un sydd fwyaf, yr aur, ai y deml sydd yn sancteiddio yr aur?

18 A phwy bynnag a dwng i'r allor, nid yw ddim; ond pwy bynnag a dyngo i'r rhodd sydd arni, y mae efe mewn dyled.

19 Ffyliaid, a deillion: canys pa un fwyaf, y rhodd, ai yr allor sydd yn sancteiddio y rhodd?

20 Pwy bynnag gan hynny a dwng i'r allor, sydd yn tyngu iddi, ac i'r hyn oll sydd arni.

21 A phwy bynnag a dwng i'r deml, sydd yn tyngu iddi, ac i'r hwn sydd yn preswylio ynddi.

22 A'r hwn a dwng i'r nef, sydd yn tyngu i orsedd-faingc Duw, ac i'r hwn sydd yn eistedd arni.

23 Gwae chwi, ysgrifenyddion a Phariseaid, ragrithwyr: canys yr ydych yn degymmu y mintys, a'r anis, a'r cwmin, ac a adawsoch heibio y pethau trymach o'r gyfraith, barn, a thrugaredd, a ffydd: rhaid oedd gwneuthur y pethau hyn, ac na adewid y lleill heibio. 24 Tywysogion deillion, y rhai ydych yn hidlo gwybedyn, ac yn llyngcu camel.

25 Gwae chwi, ysgrifenyddion a Phariseaid, ragrithwyr: canys yr ydych yn glanhâu y tu allan i'r cwppan a'r ddysgl, ac o'r tu mewn y maent yn llawn o drawsedd ac anghymmedroldeb.

26 Ti Pharisead dall, glanhâ yn gyntaf yr hyn sydd oddi fewn i'r

16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor !

17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup

cwppan a'r ddysgl, fel y byddo yn | and platter, that the outside of lân hefyd yr hyn sydd oddi allan them may be clean also. iddynt.

27 Gwae chwi, ysgrifenyddion a Phariseaid, ragrithwyr : canys tebyg ydych chwi i feddau wedi eu gwynnu, y rhai sydd yn ymddangos yn dêg oddi allan, ond oddi mewn sydd yn llawn o esgyrn y meirw, a phob aflendid.

28 Ac felly chwithau oddi allan ydych yn ymddangos i ddynion yn gyfiawn, ond o fewn yr ydych yn llawn rhagrith ac anwiredd. 29 Gwae chwi, ysgrifenyddion a Phariseaid, ragrithwyr: canys yr ydych yn adeiladu beddau y prophwydi, ac yn addurno beddau y rhai cyfiawn;

30 Ac yr ydych yn dywedyd, Pe buasem ni yn nyddiau ein tadau, ni buasem ni gyfrannogion â hwynt yn ngwaed y prophwydi. 31 Felly yr ydych yn tystiolaethu am danoch eich hunain, eich bod yn blant i'r rhai a laddasant y prophwydi.

32 Cyflawnwch chwithau hefyd fesur eich tadau.

33 O seirph, hiliogaeth gwiberod, pa fodd y gellwch ddïange rhag barn uffern?

34 Am hynny, wele, yr ydwyf yn anfon attoch brophwydi, a doethion, ac ysgrifenyddion: a rhai o honynt a leddwch, ac a groeshoeliwch a rhai o honynt a ffrewyllwch yn eich synagogau, ac a erlidiwch o dref i dref:

35 Fel y delo arnoch chwi yr holl waed cyfiawn a'r a ollyngwyd ar y ddaear, o waed Abel gyfiawn hyd waed Zecharias fab Barachias, yr hwn a laddasoch rhwng y deml

a'r allor.

36 Yn wir meddaf i chwi, Daw hyn oll ar y genhedlaeth hon.

37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, yr hon wyt yn lladd y prophwydi, ac yn llabyddio y rhai a ddanfonir attat, pa sawl gwaith y mynnaswn

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered

gasglu dy blant ynghyd, megis y|thy children together, even as a casgl iâr ei chywion dan ei hadenydd, ac nis mynnech!

38 Wele, yr ydys yn gadael eich tŷ i chwi yn anghyfannedd.

39 Canys meddaf i chwi, Ni'm gwelwch ar ol hyn, hyd oni ddywedoch, Bendigedig yw yr hwn sydd yn dyfod yn enw yr Arglwydd.

PENNOD XXIV.

'R Iesu a aeth allan, ac

ymadawodd o'r deml: a'i ddisgyblion a ddaethant atto, i ddangos iddo adeiladau y deml. 2 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrthynt, Oni welwch chwi hyn oll? Yn wir meddaf i chwi, Ni adewir yma garreg ar garreg, a'r ni ddattodir.

3 Ac efe yn eistedd ar fynydd yr Olew-wydd, y disgyblion a ddaethant atto o'r neilldu, gan ddywed yd, Mynega i ni, pa bryd y bydd y pethau hyn? a pha arwydd fydd o'th ddyfodiad, ac o ddiwedd y byd? 4 A'r Iesu a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Edrychwch rhag i neb eich twyllo chwi.

5 Canys daw llawer yn fy enw i, gan ddywedyd, Myfi yw Crist; ac a dwyllant lawer.

6 A chwi a gewch glywed am ryfeloedd, a son am ryfeloedd: gwelwch na chyffröer chwi: canys rhaid yw bod hyn oll; eithr nid yw y diwedd etto.

7 Canys cyfyd cenedl yn erbyn cenedl, a theyrnas yn erbyn teyrnas ac fe fydd newyn, a nodau, a daeargrynfâau mewn mannau.

8 A dechreuad gofidiau yw hyn

oll.

9 Yna y'ch traddodant chwi i'ch gorthrymmu, ac a'ch lladdant: a chwi a gasêir gan yr holl genhedloedd er mwyn fy enw i.

10 Ac yna y rhwystrir llawer, ac y bradychant eu gilydd, ac y casânt eu gilydd.

hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

CHAPTER XXIV.

AND Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of

sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be of fended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 A gau-brophwydi lawer a godant, ac a dwyllant lawer.

12 Ac o herwydd yr amlhâ anwiredd, fe a oera cariad llawer.

13 Eithr y neb a barhâo hyd y diwedd, hwnnw a fydd cadwedig. 14 A'r efengyl hon am y deyrnas a bregethir trwy yr holl fyd, er tystiolaeth i'r holl genhedloedd: ac yna y daw y diwedd.

15 Am hynny pan weloch y ffieidd-dra anghyfanneddol, a ddywedwyd trwy Daniel y prophwyd, yn sefyll yn y lle sanctaidd, (y neb a ddarlleno, ystyried)

16 Yna y rhai a fyddant yn Judea, ffoant i'r mynyddoedd.

17 Y neb a fyddo ar ben y tŷ, na ddisgyned i gymmeryd dim allan o'i dŷ :

18 A'r hwn a fyddo yn y maes, na ddychweled yn ei ol i gymmeryd ei ddillad.

19 A gwae y rhai beichiogion, a'r rhai yn rhoi bronnau, yn y dyddiau hynny.

20 Eithr gweddïwch na byddo eich ffoedigaeth yn y gauaf, nac ar y dydd sabbath:

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand,)

16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 Canys cyfyd gau-gristiau, a 24 For there shall arise false gau-brophwydi, ac a roddant ar- Christs, and false prophets, and wyddion mawrion a rhyfeddodau, shall shew great signs and wonhyd oni thwyllant, pe byddai bos-ders; insomuch that, if it were posibl, ïe, yr etholedigion. sible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Wele, rhagddywedais i chwi.

26 Am hynny, os dywedant wrthych, Wele, y mae efe yn y diffaeth

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the des

wch; nac ewch allan: wele, yn yr | ystafelloedd; na chredwch.

27 Oblegid fel y daw y fellten o'r dwyrain, ac y tywynna hyd y gorllewin; felly hefyd y bydd dyfodiad Mab y dyn.

30 Ac yna yr ymddengys arwydd Mab y dyn yn y nef: ac yna y galara holl lwythau y ddaear, a hwy a welant Fab y dyn yn dyfod ar gymmylau y nef, gyd â nerth a gogoniant mawr.

31 Ac efe a ddenfyn ei angelion â mawr sain udgorn; a hwy a gasglant ei etholedigion ef ynghyd o'r pedwar gwynt, o eithafoedd y nefoedd hyd eu heithafoedd hwynt. 32 Ond dysgwch ddammeg oddi wrth y ffigysbren; Pan yw ei gangen eisoes yn dyner, a'i ddail yn torri allan, chwi a wyddoch fod yr hâf yn agos:

33 Ac felly chwithau, pan weloch hyn oll, gwybyddwch ei fod yn agos, wrth y drysau.

34 Yn wir meddaf i chwi, Nid â y genhedlaeth hon heibio, hyd oni wneler hyn oll.

35 Nef a daear a ânt heibio, eithr fy ngeiriau i nid ânt heibio ddim.

36 Ond am y dydd hwnnw a'r awr nis gŵyr neb, nac angelion y nefoedd, ond fy Nhad yn unig.

37 Ac fel yr oedd yn nyddiau Noë, felly hefyd y bydd dyfodiad Mab y dyn.

38 Oblegid fel yr oeddynt yn y dyddiau ym mlaen y diluw yn bwytta ac yn yfed, yn prïodi ac yn rhoi i briodas, hyd y dydd yr aeth Noe i mewn i'r arch,

ert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass

away.

36 ¶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
