31 Ac wedi iddynt weddïo, siglvyd y lle yr oeddynt wedi ymynnull ynddo; a hwy a lanwyd ll o'r Yspryd Glân, a hwy a lefarsant air Duw yn hyderus.

32 A llïaws y rhai a gredasant edd o un galon, ac un enaid; ac i ddywedodd neb o honynt, fod lim a'r a feddai yn eiddo ei hunan, eithr yr oedd ganddynt bob peth yn gyffredin.

33 A'r apostolion trwy nerth mawr a roddasant dystiolaeth o adgyfodiad yr Arglwydd Iesu: a gras mawr oedd arnynt hwy oll. 34 Canys nid oedd un anghenus yn eu plith hwy : oblegid cynnifer ag oedd berchen tiroedd neu dai, a'u gwerthasant, ac a ddygasant werth y pethau a werthasid,

35 Ac a'u gosodasant wrth draed yr apostolion: a rhanwyd i bob un megis yr oedd yr anghen arno.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that. were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

4 Ac wedi ymgynnull gyd â hwynt, efe a orchymynodd iddynt, nad ymadawent o Jerusalem, eithr disgwyl am addewid y Tad, yr hwn, eb efc, a glywsoch gennyf fi.

5 Oblegid Ioan yn ddïau a fedyddiodd â dwfr; ond chwi a fedyddir â'r Yspryd Glân, cyn nemmawr o ddyddiau.

6 Gan hynny wedi eu dyfod hwy ynghyd, hwy a ofynasant iddo, gan ddywedyd, Arglwydd, ai y pryd hwn y rhoddi drachefn y frenhiniaeth i Israel?

7 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Ni pherthyn i chwi wybod yr amseroedd na'r prydiau, y rhai a osododd y Tad yn ei feddiant ei hun.

8 Eithr chwi a dderbyniwch nerth yr Yspryd Glân wedi y delo efe arnoch; ac a fyddwch dystion i mi yn Jerusalem, ac yn holl Judea, a Samaria, ac hyd eithaf y ddaear.

9 Ac wedi iddo ddywedyd y pethau hyn, a hwynt-hwy yn edrych, efe a ddyrchafwyd i fynu; a chwmmwl a'i derbyniodd ef allan o'u golwg hwynt.

10 Ac fel yr oeddynt yn edrych yn ddyfal tu a'r nef, ac efe yn myned i fynu, wele, dau wr a safodd ger llaw iddynt mewn gwisg

wen;

11 Y rhai hefyd a ddywedasant, Chwi wŷr o Galilea, paham y sefwch yn edrych tu a'r nef? yr Iesu hwn yr hwn a gymmerwyd i fynu oddi wrthych i'r nef, a ddaw felly yn yr un modd ag y gwelsoch ef yn myned i'r nef.

12 Yna y troisant i Jerusalem, o'r mynydd a elwir Olew-wydd, yr hwn sydd yn agos i Jerusalem, sef taith diwrnod sabbath.

13 Ac wedi eu dyfod i mewn, hwy a aethant i fynu i oruch-ystafell, lle yr oedd Petr, ac Iago, ac Ioan, ac Andreas, Phylip, a Thomas, Bartholomew, a Mat

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye

have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

12 T Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Mat

14 Y rhai hyn oll oedd yn parhâu yn gyttûn mewn gweddi ac ymbil, gyd â'r gwragedd, a Mair mam yr Iesu, a chyd â'i frodyr ef.

15 Ac yn y dyddiau hynny Petr a gyfododd i fynu y'nghanol y disgyblion, ac a ddywedodd (a nifer yr enwau yn yr un man oedd ynghylch ugain a chant)

16 Ha wŷr frodyr, yr oedd yn rhaid cyflawni yr ysgrythyr yma a rag-ddywedodd yr Yspryd Glân trwy enau Dafydd am Judas, yr hwn a fu flaenor i'r rhai a ddaliasant yr Iesu :

17 Canys efe a gyfrifwyd gyd â ni, ac a gawsai ran o'r weinidogaeth hon.

18 A hwn a bwrcasodd faes â gwobr anwiredd; ac wedi ymgrogi, a dorrodd yn ei ganol, a'i holl ymysgaroedd ef a dywalltwyd allan.

19 A bu hysbys hyn i holl breswylwyr Jerusalem, hyd oni elwir y maes hwnnw yn eu tafod priodol hwy, Aceldama, hynny yw, Maes y gwaed.

20 Canys ysgrifenwyd yn llyfr y Psalmau, Bydded ei drigfan ef yn ddiffaethwch, ac na bydded a drigo ynddi: a chymmered arall ei esgobaeth ef.

21 Am hynny y mae yn rhaid, o'r gwyr a fu yn cydymdaith â ni yr holl amser yr aeth yr Arglwydd Iesu i mewn ac allan yn ein plith ni, 22 Gan ddechreu o fedydd Ioan hyd y dydd y cymmerwyd ef i fynu oddi wrthym ni, bod un o'r rhai hyn gyd â ni yn dyst o'i adgyfodiad ef.

23 A hwy a osodasant ddau ger bron, Joseph, yr hwn a enwid Barsabas, ae a gyfenwid Justus, a Matthias.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about a hundred and twenty,)

16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called, in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood."

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and, His bishoprick let another take.

21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the

of these two thou hast chosen,

CHAPTER II.

A wedi dyfod dydd y Pente- AND when the day of Pentecost

gyttûn yn yr un lle.

2 Ac yn ddisymmwth y daeth swn o'r nef, megis gwynt nerthol yn rhuthro, ac a lanwodd yr holl dŷ lle yr oeddynt yn eistedd.

3 Ac ymddangosodd iddynt dafodau gwahanedig megis o dân, ac efe a eisteddodd ar bob un o honynt. 4 A hwy oll a lanwyd â'r Yspryd Glân, ac a ddechreuasant lefaru â thafodau eraill, megis y rhoddes yr Yspryd iddynt ymadrodd.

5 Ac yr oedd yn trigo yn Jerusalem, Iuddewon, gwŷr bucheddol o bob cenedl dan y nef.

6 Ac wedi myned y gair o hyn, daeth y lliaws ynghyd, ac a drallodwyd, o herwydd bod pob un yn eu clywed hwy yn llefaru yn ei iaith ei hun.

7 Synnodd hefyd ar bawb, a rhyfeddu a wnaethant, gan ddywedyd | wrth eu gilydd, Wele, onid Galileaid yw y rhai hyn oll sydd yn llefaru?

8 A pha fodd yr ydym ni yn eu clywed hwynt bob un yn ein hiaith ein hun, yn yr hon y'n ganed ni? 9 Parthiaid, a Mediaid, ac Elamitiaid, a thrigolion Mesopotamia, a Judea, a Chappadocia, Pontus, ac Asia,

10 Phrygia, a Phamphylia, yr Aipht, a pharthau Libya, yr hon sydd ger llaw Cyrene, a dieithriaid o Rufeinwyr, Iuddewon a phroselytiaid,

was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit I gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans?

8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretiaid, ac Arabiaid, yr ydym ni yn eu clywed hwynt yn llefaru yn ein hiaith ni fawrion weithredoedd Duw.

12 A synnasant oll, ac a ammheuasant, gan ddywedyd y naill wrth y llall, Beth a all hyn fod?

13 Ac eraill, gan watwar, a ddywedasant, Llawn o win melus ydynt.

14 ¶ Eithr Petr, yn sefyll gyd â'r un ar ddeg, a gyfododd ei leferydd, ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, O wŷr o Iuddewon, a chwi oll sydd yn trigo yn Jerusalem, bydded hysbysol hyn i chwi, a chlust-ymwrandewch â'm geiriau:

15 Canys nid yw y rhai hyn yn feddwon, fel yr ydych chwi yn tybied; oblegid y drydedd awr o'r dydd yw hi.

16 Eithr hyn yw y peth a ddywedwyd trwy y prophwyd Joel, 17 A bydd yn y dyddiau diweddaf (medd Duw) y tywalltaf o'm Hyspryd ar bob cnawd: a'ch meibion chwi a'ch merched a brophwydant, a'ch gwŷr ieuainge a welant weledigaethau, a'ch hynafgwyr a freuddwydiant freuddwydion :

18 Ac ar fy ngweision ac ar fy llaw-forwynion y tywalltaf o'm Hyspryd yn y dyddiau hynny; a hwy a brophwydant:

19 A mi a roddaf ryfeddodau yn y nef uchod, ac arwyddion yn y ddaear isod; gwaed, a thân, a tharth mwg.

20 Yr haul a droir yn dywyllwch, a'r lloer yn waed, cyn i ddydd mawr ac eglur yr Arglwydd ddyfod.

21 A bydd, pwy bynnag a alwo ar enw yr Arglwydd, a fydd cadwedig.

22 Ha wŷr Israel, clywch y geiriau hyn: Iesu o Nazareth, gwr profedig gan Dduw yn eich plith chwi, trwy nerthoedd a rhyfeddodau, ac arwyddion, y rhai a wnaeth Duw trwyddo ef yn eich canol chwi, megis ag y gwyddoch chwithau :

11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14 T But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy :

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
