gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbeus, whose surname was Thaddeus;

4 Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 And as ye go, preach, saying,

gan ddywedyd, Fod teyrnas nef- The kingdom of heaven is at oedd yn nesâu. hand.

8 [achêwch y cleifion, glanhêwch y rhai gwahan-glwyfus, cyfodwch y meirw, bwriwch allan gythreuliaid: derbyniasoch yn rhad, rhoddwch yn rhad.

9 Na feddwch aur, nac arian, nac efydd i'ch pyrsau;

10 Nac ysgrepan i'r daith, na dwy bais, nac esgidiau, na ffon: canys teilwng i'r gweithiwr ei fwyd.

11 Ac i ba ddinas bynnag neu dref yr eloch, ymofynwch pwy sydd deilwng ynddi; ac yno trigwch hyd onid eloch ymaith.

12 A phan ddeloch i dŷ, cyferchwch well iddo.

13 Ac os bydd y tŷ yn deilwng, deued eich tangnefedd arno: ac oni bydd yn deilwng, dychweled eich tangnefedd attoch.

14 A phwy bynnag ni'ch derbynio chwi, ac ni wrandawo eich geiriau, pan ymadawoch o'r ty hwnnw, neu o'r ddinas honno, ysgydwch y llwch oddi wrth eich traed.

15 Yn wir meddaf i chwi, Esmwythach fydd i dir y Sodomiaid a'r Gomorriaid yn nydd y farn, nag i'r ddinas honno.

16 Wele, yr ydwyf fi yn eich danfon fel defaid y'nghanol bleiddiaid: byddwch chwithau gall fel y seirph, a diniwed fel y colommenod. 17 Eithr ymogelwch rhag dynion; canys hwy a'ch rhoddant chwi i fynu i'r cynghor, ac a'ch ffrewyllant chwi yn eu synagogau. 18 A chwi a ddygir at lywiawdwyr a brenhinoedd o'm hachos i, er tystiolaeth iddynt hwy ac i'r Cenhedloedd.

19 Eithr pan y'ch rhoddant chwi i fynu, na ofelwch pa fodd neu pa beth a lefaroch: canys rhoddir i chwi yn yr awr honno pa beth a lefaroch.

20 Canys nid chwychwi yw y rhai sydd yn llefaru, ond Yspryd eich Tad yr hwn sydd yn llefaru ynoch.

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;

10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

12 And when ye come into a house, salute it.

13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.

16 Behold, I send you forth- as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

17 But beware of men for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

mesuroch, yr adfesurir i chwi- with what measure ye mete, it thau.

3 A phaham yr wyt yn edrych ar y brycheuyn sydd yn llygad dy frawd, ac nad ydwyt yn ystyried y trawst sydd yn dy lygad dy hun? 4 Neu pa fodd y dywedi wrth dy frawd, Gâd i mi fwrw allan y brycheuyn o'th lygad; ac wele, drawst yn dy lygad dy hun? 50 ragrithiwr, bwrw allan yn gyntaf y trawst o'th lygad dy hun; ac yna y gweli yn eglur fwrw y brycheuyn allan o lygad dy frawd.

6 Na roddwch y peth sydd sanctaidd i'r cwn, ac na theflwch eich gemmau o flaen y moch; rhag iddynt eu sathru dan eu traed, a throi a'ch rhwygo chwi.

7 Gofynwch, a rhoddir i chwi; ceisiwch, a chwi a gewch; curwch, ac fe agorir i chwi.

8 Canys pob un sydd yn gofyn, sydd yn derbyn; a'r neb sydd yn ecisio, sydd yn cael; ac i'r hwn sydd yn curo, yr agorir.

9 Neu a oes un dyn o honoch, yr hwn os gofyn ei fab iddo fara, a rydd iddo garreg?

10 Ac os gofyn efe bysgodyn, a ddyry efe sarph iddo?

11 Os chwychwi gan hynny, a chwi yn ddrwg, a fedrwch roddi rhoddion da i'ch plant, pa faint mwy y rhydd eich Tad yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd bethau da i'r rhai a ofynant iddo?

12 Am hynny pa bethau bynnag oll a ewyllysioch eu gwneuthur o ddynion i chwi, felly gwnewch chwithau iddynt hwy: canys hyn yw y gyfraith a'r prophwydi.

13 Ewch i mewn trwy y porth cyfyng: canys ehang yw y porth, allydan yw y ffordd sydd yn arwain i ddistryw; a llawer yw y rhai sydd yn myned i mewn trwyddi : 14 Oblegid cyfyng yw y porth, a chul yw y ffordd, sydd yn arwain i'r bywyd; ac ychydig yw y rhai sydd yn ei chael hi.

shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you ; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15 Ymogelwch rhag gau-bro- | 15 Beware of false prophets, which phwydi, y rhai a ddeuant attoch come to you in sheep's clothing, yn ngwisgoedd defaid, ond oddi but inwardly they are ravening mewn bleiddiaid rheibus ydynt wolves. hwy.

16 Wrth eu ffrwythau yr adnabyddwch hwynt. A gasgl rhai rawnwin oddi ar ddrain, neu ffigys oddi ar ysgall?

19 Pob pren heb ddwyn ffrwyth da, a dorrir i lawr, ac a deflir yn tân.

20 O herwydd paham, wrth eu ffrwythau yr adnabyddwch hwynt. 21 Nid pob un a'r sydd yn dywedyd wrthyf, Arglwydd, Arglwydd, a ddaw i mewn i deyrnas nefoedd; ond yr hwn sydd yn gwneuthur ewyllys fy Nhad yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd.

22 Llawer a ddywedant wrthyf yn y dydd hwnnw, Arglwydd, Arglwydd, oni phrophwydasom yn dy enw di? ac oni fwriasom allan gythreuliaid yn dy enw di? ac oni wnaethom wyrthiau lawer yn dy enw di?

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 Ac yna yr addefaf wrthynt, 23 And then will I profess unto Nis adnabûm chwi erioed: ewch them, I never knew you: depart ymaith oddi wrthyf, chwi weith-from me, ye that work iniquity. redwyr anwiredd.

24 Gan hynny pwy bynnag sydd yn gwrando fy ngeiriau hyn, ac yn eu gwneuthur, mi a'i cyffelybaf ef i wr doeth, yr hwn a adeiladodd ei dŷ ar y graig:

25 A'r gwlaw a ddisgynodd, a'r llifeiriaint a ddaethant, a'r gwyntoedd a chwythasant, ac a ruthrasant ar y tŷ hwnnw; ac ni syrthiodd: oblegid sylfaenesid ef ar y graig.

26 A phob un a'r sydd yn gwrando fy ngeiriau hyn, ac heb eu gwneuthur, a gyffelybir i wr ffol,

27 A'r gwlaw a ddisgynodd, a'r llif-ddyfroedd a ddaethant, a'r gwyntoedd a chwythasant, ac a gurasant ar y tŷ hwnnw; ac efe a syrthiodd, a'i gwymp a fu fawr. 28 A bu wedi i'r Iesu orphen y geiriau hyn, y torfeydd a synnasant wrth ei ddysgeidiaeth ef.

29 Canys yr oedd efe yn eu dysgu hwynt fel un âg awdurdod ganddo, ac nid fel yr ysgrifenyddion.

4 A dywedodd yr Iesu wrtho, Gwel na ddywedych wrth neb; eithr dos, dangos dy hun i'r offeiriad, ac offrymma y rhodd a orchymynodd Moses, er tystiolaeth iddynt.

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

CHAPTER VIII.

HEN he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2 And, behold, there came а leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. Ánd immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

5 ¶ And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he
