ewyllysi droi heibio y cwppan | ing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done. hwn oddi wrthyf: er hynny nid fy ewyllys i, ond yr eiddot ti a wneler. 43 Ac angel o'r nef a ymddangosodd iddo, yn ei nerthu ef. 44 Ac efe mewn ymdrech meddwl, a weddïodd yn ddyfalach: a'i chwŷs ef oedd fel defnynau gwaed yn disgyn ar y ddaear. 45 A phan gododd efe o'i weddi, a dyfod at ei ddisgyblion, efe a'u cafodd hwynt yn cysgu gan dristwch; 46 Ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Paham yr ydych yn cysgu ? codwch, a gweddiwch nad eloch mewn profedigaeth. 47 Ac efe etto yn llefaru, wele dyrfa; a'r hwn a elwir Judas, un o'r deuddeg, oedd yn myned o'u blaen hwynt, ac a nesâodd at yr fesu, i'w gusanu ef. 48 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Judas, ai â chusan yr wyt ti yn bradychu Mab y dyn ? 49 A phan welodd y rhai oedd yn ei gylch ef y peth oedd ar ddyfod, hwy a ddywedasant wrtho, Arglwydd, a darâwn ni â chleddyf? 50 A rhyw un o honynt a darawodd was yr arch-offeiriad, ac a dorrodd ymaith ei glust ddehau ef. 51 A'r Iesu a attebodd ac a ddywedodd, Goddefwch hyd yn hyn. Ac efe a gyffyrddodd â'i glust, ac a'i hiachâodd ef. 52 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd wrth yr arch-offeiriaid, a blaenoriaid y deml, a'r henuriaid, y rhai a ddaethent atto, Ai fel at leidr y daethoch chwi allan, â chleddyfau | ac â ffyn? 53 Pan oeddwn beunydd gyd â chwi yn y deml, nid estynasoch ddwylaw i'm herbyn: eithr hon yw eich awr chwi, a gallu y tywyllwch. 54 A hwy a'i daliasant ef, ac a'i harweiniasant, ac a'i dygasant i mewn i dŷ yr arch-offeiriad. A Phetr a ganlynodd o hirbell. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. 47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. 51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of dark ness. 54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. 55 Ac wedi iddynt gynneu tân y'nghanol y neuadd, a chydeistedd o honynt, eisteddodd Petr yntau yn eu plith hwynt. 56 A phan ganfu rhyw langces ef yn eistedd wrth y tân, a dal sylw arno, hi a ddywedodd, Yr oedd hwn hefyd gyd âg ef. 57 Yntau a'i gwadodd ef, gan ddywedyd, O wraig, nid adwaen ef. 58 Ac ychydig wedi, un arall a'i gwelodd ef, ac a ddywedodd, Yr wyt tithau hefyd yn un o honynt. A Phetr a ddywedodd, O ddyn, nid ydwyf. 59 Ac ar ol megis yspaid un awr, rhyw un arall a daerodd, gan ddywedyd, Mewn gwirionedd yr oedd hwn hefyd gyd âg ef: canys Galilead yw. 60 A Phetr a ddywedodd, Y dyn, nis gwn beth yr wyt yn ei ddywedyd. Ac yn y man, ac efe etto yn llefaru, canodd y ceiliog. 61 A'r Arglwydd a drodd, ac a edrychodd ar Petr. A Phetr a gofiodd ymadrodd yr Arglwydd, fel y dywedasai efe wrtho, Cyn canu o'r ceiliog, y gwedi fi deirgwaith. 62 A Phetr a aeth allan, ac a wylodd yn chwerw-dost. 63 A'r gwŷr oedd yn dal yr Iesu, a'i gwatwarasant ef, gan ei daro. 64 Ac wedi iddynt guddio ei lygaid ef, hwy a'i tarawsant ef ar ei wyneb, ac a ofynasant iddo, gan ddywedyd, Prophwyda, pwy yw yr hwn a'th darawodd di? 65 A llawer o bethau eraill, gan gablu, a ddywedasant yn ei erbyn ef. 66 A phan aeth hi yn ddydd, ymgynnullodd henuriaid y bobl, a'r arch-offeiriaid, a'r ysgrifenyddion, ac a'i dygasant ef i'w cynghor hwynt, 67 Gan ddywedyd, Aiti yw Crist? dywed i ni. Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Os dywedaf i chwi, ni chredwch ddim: 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them. 56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him. 57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. 58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him; for he is a Galilean. 60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew. 61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. 62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. 63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. 64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? 65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him. 66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, 67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: 68 Ac os gofynaf hefyd i chwi, | 68 And if I also ask you, ye will ni'm hattebwch, ac ni'm gollyng- not answer me, nor let me go. weh ymaith. 69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. 70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. CHAPTER XXIII. ND the whole multitude of 'R holl liaws o honynt a gy-them arose, and led him unto A fodasant, aw a'i dygrana Pilat: 2 Ac a ddechreuasant ei gyhuddo ef, gan ddywedyd, Ni a gawsom hwn yn gwyrdroi y bobl, ac yn gwahardd rhoi teyrnged i Cesar, gan ddywedyd mai efe ei hun yw Crist Frenhin. 3 A Philat a ofynodd iddo, gan ddywedyd, Ai ti yw Brenhin yr Iuddewon? Ac efe a attebodd iddo, ac a ddywedodd, Yr wyt ti yn dywedyd. 4 A dywedodd Pilat wrth yr archoffeiriaid a'r bobl, Nid wyf fi yn cael dim bai ar y dyn hwn. 5 A hwy a fuant daerach, gan ddywedyd, Y mae efe yn cyffroi y bobl, gan ddysgu trwy holl Judea, wedi dechreu o Galilea hyd yma. 6 A phan glybu Pilat sôn am Galilea, efe a ofynodd ai Galilead oedd y dyn. 7 A phan wybu efe ei fod ef o lywodraeth Herod, efe a'i hanfonodd ef at Herod, yr hwn oedd yntau yn Jerusalem y dyddiau hynny. 8 A Herod, pan welodd yr Iesu, a lawenychodd yn fawr: canys yr oedd efe yn chwennych er ys talm ei weled ef; oblegid iddo glywed llawer am dano ef; ac yr ydoedd yn gobeithio cael gweled gwneuthur rhyw arwydd ganddo ef. 9 Ac efe a'i holodd ef mewn W. & Eug. 16 Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cesar, saying that he himself is Christ a king. 3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it. 4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. 5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place. 6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilean. 7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. 8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. 9 Then he questioned with him i ̧ð llawer o eiriau; eithr efe nid attebodd ddim iddo. 10 A'r arch-offeiriaid a'r ysgrifenyddion a safasant, gan ei gyhuddo ef yn haerllug. 11 A Herod a'i filwyr, wedi iddo ei ddïystyru ef, a'i watwar, a'i wisgo â gwisg glaerwen, a'i danfonodd ef drachefn at Pilat. 12 A'r dwthwn hwnnw yr aeth Pilat a Herod yn gyfeillion: canys yr oeddynt o'r blaen mewn gelyniaeth â'u gilydd. 13 A Philat, wedi galw ynghyd yr arch-offeiriaid, a'r llywiawdwyr, a'r bobl, 14 A ddywedodd wrthynt, Chwi a ddygasoch y dyn hwn attaf fi, fel un a fyddai yn gŵyrdroi y bobl ac wele, myfi a'i holais ef yn eich gŵydd chwi, ac ni chefais yn y dyn hwn ddim bai, o ran y pethau yr ydych chwi yn ei gyhuddo ef am danynt: 15 Na Herod chwaith: canys anfonais chwi atto ef; ac wele, dim yn haeddu marwolaeth nis gwnaed iddo. 16 Am hynny mi a'i ceryddaf ef, ac a'i gollyngaf ymaith. 17 Canys yr ydoedd yn rhaid many words; but he answered him nothing. 10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. 11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate. 12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together; for before they were at enmity between themselves. 13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people; and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: 15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. 16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him. 17 For of necessity he must re iddo ollwng un yn rhydd iddynt | lease one unto them at the feast. ar yr wyl. 18 A'r holl liaws a lefasant ar 18 And they cried out all at once, unwaith, gan ddywedyd, Bwrw saying, Away with this man, and hwn ymaith, a gollwng i ni Bar-release unto us Barabbas: abbas yn rhydd: 19 (Yr hwn, am ryw derfysg a 19 Who for a certain sedition wnaethid yn y ddinas, a llofrudd-made in the city, and for murder, iaeth, oedd wedi ei daflu i garchar) was cast into prison. 20 Ám hynny Pilat a ddywedodd wrthynt drachefn, gan ewyllysio gollwng yr Iesu yn rhydd. 21 Eithr hwy a lefasant arno, gan ddywedyd, Croeshoelia, croeshoelia ef. 22 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt y drydedd waith, Canys pa ddrwg a wnaeth efe? ni chefais i ddim achos marwolaeth ynddo; am hynny mi a'i ceryddaf ef, ac a'i gollyngaf yn rhydd. 20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. 21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. 22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? A'u llefau hwynt, a'r be crucified: and the voices of them arch-offeiriaid, a orfuant.. and of the chief priests prevailed. 24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. 24 A Philat a farnodd wneuthur eu deisyfiad hwynt. 25 Ac efe a ollyngodd yn rhydd iddynt yr hwn am derfysg a llofruddiaeth a fwriasid y'ngharchar, yr hwn a ofynasant: eithr yr Iesu a draddododd efe i'w hewyllys hwynt. 26 Ac fel yr oeddynt yn ei arwain ef ymaith, hwy a ddaliasant un Simon o Cyrene, yn dyfod o'r wlad, ac a ddodasant y groes arno ef, i'w dwyn ar ol yr Iesu. 27 Ac yr oedd yn ei ganlyn ef liaws mawr o bobl, ac o wragedd; y rhai hefyd oedd yn cwynfan, ac yn galaru o'i blegid ef. 28 A'r Iesu, wedi troi attynt, a ddywedodd, Merched Jerusalem, na wylwch o'm plegid i: eithr wylwch o'ch plegid eich hunain, ac oblegid eich plant. 29 Canys wele, y mae y dyddiau yn dyfod, yn y rhai y dywedant, Gwyn eu byd y rhai ammhlantadwy, a'r crothau ni eppiliasant, a'r bronnau ni roisant sugn. 30 Yna y dechreuant ddywedyd wrth y mynyddoedd, Syrthiwch arnom; ac wrth y bryniau, Cuddiwch ni. 31 Canys os gwnant hyn yn y pren îr, pa beth a wneir yn y crin ? 25 And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will. 26 they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus. And as they led him away, 27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. 30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. 31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? be put to death. 32 Ac arweiniwyd gyd âg ef 32 And there were also two othhefyd ddau ddrwg-weithredwyr ers, malefactors, led with him to eraill, i'w rhoi i'w marwolaeth. 33 ¶ A phan ddaethant i'r lle a elwir Calfaria, yno y croeshoeliasant ef, a'r drwg-weithredwyr; un ar y llaw ddehau, a'r llall ar yr aswy. 34 A'r Iesu a ddywedodd, O Dad, maddeu iddynt: canys ni wyddant pa beth y maent yn ei wneuthur. A hwy a rannasant ei ddillad ef, ac a fwriasant goelbren. 35 A'r bobl a safodd yn edrych. 33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and east lots. 35 And the people stood beholding |
