Tad, ond y Mab, a'r neb y mynno | ther; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

y Mab ei ddatguddio iddo.

23 Ac efe a drodd at ei ddisgyblion, ac a ddywedodd o'r neilldu, Gwyn fyd y llygaid sydd yn gweled y pethau yr ydych chwi yn eu gweled.

24 Canys yr wyf yn dywedyd i chwi, ewyllysio o lawer o brophwydi a brenhinoedd weled y pethau yr ydych chwi yn eu gweled, ac nis gwelsant; a chlywed y pethau yr ydych chwi yn eu clywed, ac nis clywsant.

25 Ac wele, rhyw gyfreithiwr a gododd, gan ei demtio ef, a dywedyd, Athraw, pa beth a wnaf i gael etifeddu bywyd tragywydd

ol?

26 Yntau a ddywedodd wrtho, Pa beth sydd ysgrifenedig yn y gy raith? pa fodd y darlleni?

27 Ac efe gan atteb a ddywedodd, Ti a geri yr Arglwydd dy Dduw a'th holl galon, ac â'th holl enaid, ac â'th holl nerth, ac â'th holl feddwl; a'th gymmydog fel ti dy hun.

28 Yntau a ddywedodd wrtho, Ti a attebaist yn uniawn: gwna hyn, a byw fyddi.

29 Eithr efe, yn ewyllysio ei gyfiawnhâu ei hun, a ddywedodd wrth yr Iesu, A phwy yw fy nghymmydog?

30 A'r Iesu gan atteb a ddywedodd, Rhyw ddyn oedd yn myned i waered o Jerusalem i Jericho; ac a syrthiodd yn mysg lladron, y rhai wedi ei ddiosg ef, a'i archolli, a aethant ymaith, gan ei adael yn hanner marw.

31 Ac ar ddamwain rhyw offeiriad a ddaeth i waered y ffordd honno a phan ei gwelodd, efe a aeth o'r tu arall heibio.

32 A'r un ffunud Lefiad hefyd, wedi dyfod i'r fan, a'i weled ef, a aeth o'r tu arall heibio.

23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

25 ¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 Eithr rhyw Samariad, wrth 33 But a certain Samaritan,

he journeyed, came where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 Ac a aeth atto, ac a rwymodd ei archollion ef, gan dywallt yn-up his wounds, pouring in oil and ddynt olew a gwin; ac a'i gosod- wine, and set him on his own odd ef ar ei anifail ei hun, ac a'i beast, and brought him to an inn, dug ef i'r lletty, ac a'i hamgeledd- and took care of him. odd.

35 A thrannoeth wrth fyned ymaith, efe a dynnodd allan ddwy geiniog, ac a'u rhoddes i'r llettywr, ac a ddywedodd wrtho, Cymmer ofal drosto a pha beth bynnag a dreuliech yn ychwaneg, pan ddelwyf drachefn, mi a'i talaf i ti.

36 Pwy gan hynny o'r tri hyn, yr ydwyt ti yn tybied ei fod yn gymmydog i'r hwn a syrthiasai yn mhlith y lladron ?

37 Ac efe a ddywedodd, Yr hwn a wnaeth drugaredd âg ef. A'r Iesu am hynny a ddywedodd wrtho, Dos, a gwna dithau yr un modd. 38 T A bu, a hwy yn ymdeithio, ddyfod o hono i ryw dref: a rhyw wraig, a'i henw Martha, a'i derbyniodd ef i'w thŷ.

39 Ac i hon yr oedd chwaer a elwid Mair, yr hon hefyd a eisteddodd wrth draed yr Iesu, ac a wrandawodd ar ei ymadrodd ef.

40 Ond Martha oedd drafferthus ynghylch llawer o wasanaeth: a chan sefyll ger llaw, hi a ddywedodd, Arglwydd, onid oes ofal gennyt am i'm chwaer fy ngadael i fy hun i wasanaethu? dywed wrthi gan hynny am fy helpio.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him: and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

38 ¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 A'r Iesu a attebodd ac a 41 And Jesus answered and said ddywedodd wrthi, Martha, Mar- unto her, Martha, Martha, thou tha, gofalus a thrafferthus wyt art careful and troubled about ynghylch llawer o bethau: many things:

42 Eithr un peth sydd angenrheidiol. A Mair a ddewisodd y rhan dda, yr hon ni ddygir oddi arni.

wedyd o un o'i ddisgyblion wrtho, Arglwydd, dysg i ni weddïo, megis ag y dysgodd Ioan i'w ddisgyblion.

2 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pan weddïoch, dywedwch, Ein Tad yr hwn wyt yn y nefoedd, Sancteiddier dy enw. Deued dy deyrnas. Gwneler dy ewyllys, megis yn y nef, felly ar y ddaear hefyd.

3 Dyro i ni o ddydd i ddydd ein bara beunyddiol.

4 A maddeu i ni ein pechodau: canys yr ydym ninnau yn maddeu i bawb sydd yn ein dyled. Ac nac arwain ni i brofedigaeth; eithr gwared ni rhag drwg.

5 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pwy o honoch fydd iddo gyfaill, ac a â atto hanner nos, ac a ddywed wrtho, O gyfaill, moes i mi dair torth yn echwyn:

6 Canys cyfaill i mi a ddaeth attaf wrth ymdaith, ac nid oes gennyf ddim i'w ddodi ger ei fron ef: 7 Ac yntau oddi mewn a ettyb ac a ddywed, Na flina fi: yn awr y mae y drws yn gauad, a'm plant gyd â mi yn y gwely; ni allaf godi a'u rhoddi i ti.

8 Yr wyf yn dywedyd i chwi, Er na chyfyd efe a rhoddi iddo, am ei fod yn gyfaill iddo; etto o herwydd ei daerni, efe a gyfyd ac a rydd iddo gynnifer ag y sydd arno eu heisieu.

9 Ac yr ydwyf yn dywedyd i chwi, Gofynwch, a rhoddir i chwi; ceisiwch, a chwi a gewch; curwch, ac fe a agorir i chwi.

10 Canys pob un sydd yn gofyn, sydd yn derbyn; a'r neb sydd yn ceisio, sydd yn cael; ac i'r hwn sydd yn curo, yr agorir.

11 Os bara a ofyn mab i un o honoch chwi sy dad, a ddyry efe garreg iddo? ac os pysgodyn, a ddyry efe iddo sarph yn lle pysgodyn?

12 Neu os gofyn efe ŵy, a ddyry efe ysgorpion iddo?

place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him:

7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee?

8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13 Os chwychwi gan hynny, y rhai ydych ddrwg, a fedrwch roi rhoddion da i'ch plant chwi; pa faint mwy y rhydd eich Tad o'r nef yr Yspryd Glân i'r rhai a ofyno ganddo?

14 Ac yr oedd efe yn bwrw allan gythraul, a hwnnw oedd fud. A bu, wedi i'r cythraul fyned allan, i'r mudan lefaru; a'r bobloedd a ryfeddasant.

15 Eithr rhai o honynt a ddywedasant, Trwy Beelzebub, pennaeth y cythreuliaid, y mae efe yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid. 16 Ac eraill, gan ei demtio, a geisiasant ganddo arwydd o'r nef. 17 Yntau, yn gwybod eu meddyliau hwynt, a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pob teyrnas wedi ymrannu yn ei herbyn ei hun, a anghyfanneddir; a thŷ yn erbyn tŷ, a syrth.

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children; how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

18 Ac os Satan hefyd sydd wedi ymrannu yn ei erbyn ei hun, pa fodd y saif ei deyrnas ef? gan eich bod yn dywedyd, mai trwy Beel-out devils through Beelzebub. zebub yr wyf fi yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid.

18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast

19 Ac os trwy Beelzebub yr wyf fi yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid, trwy bwy y mae eich plant chwi yn eu bwrw hwynt allan? am hynny y byddant hwy yn farnwyr arnoch chwi.

20 Eithr os myfi trwy fys Duw ydwyf yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid, diammeu ddyfod teyrnas Dduw attoch chwi.

21 Pan fyddo un cryf arfog yn cadw ei neuadd, y mae yr hyn sydd ganddo mewn heddwch :

22 Ond pan ddêl un cryfach nag ef arno, a'i orchfygu, efe a ddwg ymaith ei holl arfogaeth ef yn yr hon yr oedd yn ymddiried, ac a ran ei anrhaith ef.

23 Y neb nid yw gyd â mi, sydd yn fy erbyn a'r neb nid yw yn casglu gyd â mi, sydd yn gwasgaru.

24 Pan êl yr yspryd aflan allan o ddyn, efe a rodia mewn lleoedd

19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

23 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh

a phryd na chaffo, efe a ddywed, Mi a ddychwelaf i'm tŷ o'r lle y daethum allan.

25 A phan ddêl, y mae yn ei gael wedi ei ysgubo a'i drefnu.

26 Yna yr â efe, ac y cymmer atto saith yspryd eraill gwaeth nag ef ei hun; a hwy a ânt i mewn, ac a arhosant yno: a diwedd y dyn hwnnw fydd gwaeth nâ'i ddechreuad.

27 A bu, fel yr oedd efe yn dywedyd hyn, rhyw wraig o'r dyrfa a gododd ei llef, ac a ddywedodd wrtho, Gwyn fyd y groth a'th ddug di, a'r bronnau a sugnaist.

28 Ond efe a ddywedodd, Yn hytrach gwyn fyd y rhai sydd yn gwrando gair Duw, ac yn ei gadw. 29 Ac wedi i'r bobloedd ymdyrru ynghyd, efe a ddechreuodd ddywedyd, Y genhedlaeth hon sydd ddrwg: y mae hi yn ceisio arwydd: ac arwydd ni roddir iddi, ond arwydd Jonas y prophwyd.

30 Canys fel y bu Jonas yn arwydd i'r Ninifeaid, felly y bydd Mab y dyn hefyd i'r genhedlaeth hon.

31 Brenhines y dehau a gyfyd yn y farn gyd â gwyr y genhedlaeth hon, ac a'u condemnia hwynt: am iddi hi ddyfod o eithafoedd y ddaear i wrando doethineb Solomon; ac wele, un mwy nâ Solomon yma.

32 Gwyr Ninife a godant i fynu yn y farn gyd â'r genhedlaeth hon, ac a'i condemniant hi am iddynt edifarhâu wrth bregeth Jonas: ac wele, un mwy nâ Jonas yma.

33 Ac nid yw neb wedi goleu canwyll, yn ei gosod mewn lle dirgel, na than lestr; eithr ar ganhwyllbren, fel y gallo y rhai a ddelo i mewn weled y goleuni. 34 Canwyll y corph yw y llygad: am hynny pan fyddo dy lygad yn

26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea, rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

32 The men of Nineveh shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
