6 Ac ar yr wyl honno y gollyngai efe yn rhydd iddynt un carcharor, yr hwn a ofynent iddo. 7 Ac yr oedd un a elwid Barabbas, yr hwn oedd yn rhwym gyd â'i gyd-derfysgwyr, y rhai yn y derfysg a wnaethent lofruddiaeth.

8 A'r dyrfa gan groch-lefain, a ddechreuodd ddeisyf arno wneuthur fel y gwnaethai bob amser iddynt. 9 A Philat a attebodd iddynt, gan ddywedyd, A fynnwch chwi i mi ollwng yn rhydd i chwi Frenhin yr Iuddewon?

10 (Canys efe a wyddai mai o genfigen y traddodasai yr archoffeiriaid-ef)

11 A'r arch-offeiriaid a gynhyrfasent y bobl, fel y gollyngai efe yn hytrach Barabbas yn rhydd iddynt.

12 A Philat a attebodd ac a ddywedodd drachefn wrthynt, Beth gan hynny a fynnwch i mi ei wneuthur i'r hwn yr ydych yn ei alw Brenhin yr Iuddewon?

13 A hwythau a lefasant drachefn, Croeshoelia ef.

14 Yna Pilat a ddywedodd wrthynt, Ond pa ddrwg a wnaeth efe? A hwythau a lefasant fwy-fwy, Croeshoelia ef.

15 A Philat yn chwennych boddloni y bobl, a ollyngodd yn rhydd iddynt Barabbas; a'r Iesu, wedi iddo ei fflangellu, a draddododd efe i'w groeshoelio.

17 Ac a'i gwisgasant ef â phorphor, ac a blethasant goron o ddrain, ac a'i dodasant am ei ben; 18 Ac a ddechreuasant gyfarch iddo, Henffych well, Brenhin yr Iuddewon.

19 A hwy a gurasant ei ben ef â chorsen, ac a boerasant arno, a chan ddodi eu gliniau i lawr, a'i haddolasant ef.

6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

7 And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.

14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Pretorium; and they call together the whole band.

17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, 18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

20 Ac wedi iddynt ei watwar ef, hwy a ddïosgasant y porphor oddi am dano, ac a'i gwisgasant ef â'i ddillad ei hun, ac a'i dygasant allan i'w groeshoelio.

21 ¶ A hwy a gymhellasant un Simon o Cyrene, yr hwn oedd yn myned heibio, wrth ddyfod o'r wlad, sef tad Alexander a Ruphus, i ddwyn ei groes ef.

22 A hwy a'i harweiniasant ef i le a elwid Golgotha; yr hyn o'i gyfieithu yw, Lle y benglog:

23 Ac a roisant iddo i'w yfed win myrllyd: eithr efe nis cymmerth.

24 Ac wedi iddynt ei groeshoelio, hwy a rannasant ei ddillad ef, gan fwrw coelbren arnynt, beth a gai pob un.

25 A'r drydedd awr oedd hi, a hwy a'i croeshoeliasant ef.

26 Ac yr oedd ysgrifen ei achos ef wedi ei hargraphu, BRENHIN YR IUDDEWON.

27 A hwy a groeshoeliasant gyd âg ef ddau leidr; un ar y llaw ddehau, ac un ar yr aswy iddo. 28 A'r ysgrythyr a gyflawnwyd, yr hon a ddywed, Ac efe a gyfrifwyd gyd â'r rhai anwir.

29 A'r rhai oedd yn myned heibio a'i cablasant ef, gan ysgwyd eu pennau, a dywedyd, Och, tydi yr hwn wyt yn dinystrio y deml, ac yn ei hadeiladu mewn tridiau, 30 Gwared dy hun, a disgyn oddi ar y groes.

31 Yr un ffunud yr arch-offeiriaid hefyd yn gwatwar, a ddywedasant wrth eu gilydd, gyd â'r ysgrifenyddion, Eraill a waredodd, ei hun nis gall ei wared.

32 Disgyned Crist, Brenhin yr Israel, yr awrhon oddi ar y groes, fel y gwelom, ac y credom. A'r rhai a groeshoeliesid gyd âg ef, a'i difenwasant ef.

33 A phan ddaeth y chweched awr, y bu tywyllwch ar yr holl ddaear hyd y nawfed awr.

34 Ac ar y nawfed awr y dolefodd

25 And it was the third hour, they crucified him. 26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

36 Ac un a redodd, ac a lanwodd yspwng yn llawn o finegr, ac a'i dododd ar gorsen, ac a'i dïododd ef, gan ddywedyd, Peidiwch, edrychwn a ddaw Elias i'w dynnu ef i lawr.

37 A'r Jesu a lefodd â llef uchel, ac a ymadawodd â'r yspryd. 38 A llen y deml a rwygwyd yn ddwy, oddi fynu hyd i waered.

39 ¶ A phan welodd y canwriad, yr hwn oedd yn sefyll ger llaw gyferbyn âg ef, ddarfod iddo, yn llefain felly, ymado â'r yspryd, efe a ddywedodd, Yn wir Mab Duw oedd y dyn hwn.

40 Ac yr oedd hefyd wragedd yn edrych o hirbell: yn mhlith y rhai yr oedd Mair Magdalen, a Mair mam Iago fychan, a Jose, a Salome;

41 Y rhai hefyd, pan oedd efe yn Galilea, a'i dilynasant ef, ac a weiniasant iddo; a gwragedd eraill lawer, y rhai a ddaethent gyd âg ef i fynu i Jerusalem.

42 Pan ydoedd hi weithian yn hwyr, (am ei bod hi yn ddarparwyl, sef y dydd cyn y sabbath)

43 Daeth Joseph o Arimathea, cynghorwr pendefigaidd, yr hwn oedd yntau yn disgwyl am deyrnas Dduw; ac a aeth yn hyf i mewn at Pilat, ac a ddeisyfodd gorph yr Iesu.

44 A rhyfedd oedd gan Pilat o buasai efe farw eisoes: ac wedi iddo alw y canwriad atto, efe a ofynodd iddo a oedd efe wedi marw er ys meityn.

35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

36 And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

38 And the vail of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God..

40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

41 Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him; and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

43 Joseph of Arimathea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

CHAPTER XVI.

Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

ND when the sabbath was past,

2 And very early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre ?

4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

6 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Na 6 And he saith unto them, Be not ddychrynwch. Ceisio yr ydych yr affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of NazIesu o Nazareth, yr hwn a groes-areth, which was crucified: he is hoeliwyd efe a gyfododd; nid yw risen; he is not here: behold the efe yma: wele y man y dodasant ef. place where they laid him. 7 Eithr ewch ymaith, dywedwch 7 But go your way, tell his disi'w ddisgyblion ef, ac i Petr, ei fod ciples and Peter that he goeth be ef yn myned o'ch blaen chwi i fore you into Galilee: there shall Galilea: yno y cewch ei weled ef, ye see him, as he said unto you. fel y dywedodd i chwi.

8 Ac wedi myned allan ar frys, hwy a ffoisant oddi wrth y bedd; canys dychryn a syndod oedd arnynt. Ac ni ddywedasant ddim wrth neb: canys yr oeddynt wedi ofni.

and

8 And they went out quickly, fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

9 T A'r Iesu, wedi adgyfodi y bore y dydd cyntaf o'r wythnos, a ymddangosodd yn gyntaf i Mair Magdalen, o'r hon y bwriasai efe allan saith o gythreuliaid.

10 Hithau a aeth ac a fynegodd i'r rhai a fuasent gyd âg ef, ac oeddynt mewn galar ac wylofain, 11 A hwythau, pan glywsant ei fod ef yn fyw, ac iddi hi ei weled ef, ni chredent.

12 Ac wedi hynny yr ymddangosodd efe mewn gwedd arall i ddau o honynt, a hwynt yn ymdeithio, ac yn myned i'r wlad.

13 A hwy a aethant ac a fynegasant i'r lleill: ac ni chredent iddynt hwythau.

9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

14 Ac ar ol hynny efe a ymddangosodd i'r un ar ddeg, a hwy yn eistedd i fwytta; ac a ddannododd iddynt eu hanghrediniaeth, a'u calon-galedwch, am na chredasent y rhai a'i gwelsent ef wedi adgy-him after he was risen. fodi.

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen

15 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Ewch i'r holl fyd, a phregethwch yr efengyl i bob creadur.

16 Y neb a gredo ac a fedyddier a fydd cadwedig: eithr y neb ni chredo a gondemuir.

17 A'r arwyddion hyn a ganlynant y rhai a gredant'; Yn fy enw iy bwriant allan gythreuliaid; ac â thafodau newyddion y llefar

ant;

18 Seirph a godant ymaith, ac os yfant ddim marwol, ni wna iddynt ddim niwed; ar y cleifion y rhoddant eu dwylaw, a hwy a fyddant iach.

19 Ac felly yr Arglwydd, wedi llefaru wrthynt, a gymmerwyd i fynu i'r nef, ac a eisteddodd ar ddeheulaw Duw.

20 A hwythau a aethant allan, ac a bregethasant ym mhob man, a'r Arglwydd yn cyd-weithio, ac yn cadarnhâu y gair, trwy arwyddion y rhai oedd yn canlyn. Amen.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
