Ioan, gan wybod ei fod ef yn wring that he was a just man and a holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly. cyfiawn, ac yn sanctaidd; ac a'i parchai ef: ac wedi iddo ei glywed ef, efe a wnai lawer o bethau, ac a'i gwrandawai ef yn ewyllysgar. 21 Ac wedi dyfod diwrnod cyfaddas, pan wnaeth Herod ar ei ddydd genedigaeth swpper i'w bennaethiaid, a'i flaenoriaid, a goreugwŷr Galilea: 22 Ac wedi i ferch Herodias honno ddyfod i mewn, a dawnsio, a boddhâu Herod, a'r rhai oedd yn eistedd gyd âg ef, y brenhin a ddywedodd wrth y llangces, Gofyn i mi y peth a fynnech, ac mi a'i rhoddaf i ti. 23 Ac efe a dyngodd iddi, Beth bynnag a ofynech i mi, mi a'i rhoddaf i ti, hyd hanner fy nheyrnas. 24 A hithau a aeth allan, ac a ddywedodd wrth ei mam, Pa beth a ofynaf? A hithau a ddywedodd, Pen Ioan Fedyddiwr. 25 Ac yn y fan hi a aeth i mewn ar frys at y brenhin, ac a ofynodd, gan ddywedyd, Mi a fynnwn i ti roi i mi allan o law, ar ddysgl, ben Ioan Fedyddiwr. 26 A'r brenhin yn drist iawn, ni chwennychai ei bwrw hi heibio, o herwydd y llwon, a'r rhai oedd yn eistedd gyd âg ef. 27 Ac yn y man y brenhin a ddanfonodd ddihenyddwr, ac a orchymynodd ddwyn ei ben ef. 28 Ac yntau a aeth ac a dorrodd ei ben ef yn y carchar, ac a ddug ei ben ef ar ddysgl, ac a'i rhoddes i'r llangces; a'r llangces a'i rhoddes ef i'w mam. 29 A phan glybu ei ddisgyblion ef, hwy a ddaethant ac a gymmerasant ei gorph ef, ac a'i dodasant mewn bedd. 30 A'r apostolion a ymgasglasant at yr Iesu, ac a fynegasant iddo yr holl bethau, y rhai a wnaethent, hefyd a'r rhai a athrawiaethasent. 21 And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee ; 22 And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee. 23 And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom. 24 And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist. 25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist. 26 And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath's sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her. 27 And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison, 28 And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel; and the damsel gave it to her mother. 29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb. 30 And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. 31 ¶ Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Deuwch eich hunain i le anghyfannedd o'r neilldu, a gorphwyswch encyd. Canys llawer oedd yn dyfod ac yn myned, fel nad oeddynt yn cael ennyd cymmaint ag i fwytta. 32 A hwy a aethant i le anghyfannedd mewn llong o'r neilldu. 33 A'r bobloedd a'u gwelsant hwy yn myned ymaith, a llawer a'i hadnabuant ef, ac a redasant yno ar draed o'r holl ddinasoedd, ac a'u rhag-flaenasant hwynt, ac a ymgasglasant atto ef. 34 A'r Iesu, wedi myned allan, a welodd dyrfa fawr, ac a dosturiodd wrthynt, am eu bod fel defaid heb ganddynt fugail: ac a ddechreuodd ddysgu iddynt lawer o bethau. 35 Ac yna wedi ei myned hi yn llawer o'r dydd, y daeth ei ddisgyblion atto ef, gan ddywedyd, Y lle sydd anial, ac weithian y mae hayn llawer o'r dydd: 36 Gollwng hwynt ymaith, fel yr elont i'r wlad oddi amgylch, ac i'r pentrefi, ac y prynont iddynt eu hunain fara: canys nid oes ganddynt ddim i'w fwytta. 37 Ond efe a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Rhoddwch chwi iddynt beth i'w fwytta. A hwy a ddywedasant wrtho, A awn ni a phrynu gwerth deucan ceiniog o fara, a'i roddi iddynt i'w fwytta? 38 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Pa sawl torth sydd gennych? ewch ac edrychwch. Ac wedi iddynt wybod, hwy a ddywedasant, Pump, a dau bysgodyn. 39 Ac efe a orchymynodd iddynt beri i bawb eistedd yn fyrddeidiau ar y glaswellt. 40 A hwy a eisteddasant yn finteioedd a minteioedd, o fesur cannoedd, ac o fesur deg a deugeiniau. 31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. 32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately. 33 And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him. 34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. 35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: 36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. 37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? 38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. 39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. 40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. 41 Ac wedi cymmeryd y pum 41 And when he had taken the torth a'r ddau bysgodyn, gan five loaves and the two fishes, he edrych i fynu tu a'r nef, efe a looked up to heaven, and blessed, W. & Eng. 8 fendithiodd, ac a dorrodd y bara, ac a'u rhoddes at ei ddisgyblion, i'w gosod ger eu bronnau hwynt: a'r ddau bysgodyn a rannodd efe rhyngddynt oll. 42 A hwy oll a fwyttasant, ac a gawsant ddigon. 43 A chodasant ddeuddeg basgedaid yn llawn o'r briw-fwyd, ac o'r pysgod. 44 A'r rhai a fwyttasent o'r torthau, oedd ynghylch pum mil o wŷr. 45 Ac yn y man efe a gymhellodd ei ddisgyblion i fyned i'r llong, a myned o'r blaen i'r làn arall i Bethsaida, tra fyddai efe yn gollwng ymaith y bobl. 46 Ac wedi iddo eu danfon hwynt ymaith, efe a aeth i'r mynydd i weddïo. 47 A phan aeth hi yn hwyr, yr oedd y llong ar ganol y môr, ac yntau ei hun ar y tir. 48 Ac efe a'u gwelai hwynt yn flin arnynt yn rhwyfo: (canys y gwynt oedd yn eu herbyn) ac yn nghylch y bedwaredd wylfa o'r nos efe a ddaeth attynt, gan rodio ar y môr; ac a fynnasai fyned heibio iddynt. 49 Ond pan welsant hwy ef yn rhodio ar y môr, hwy a dybiasant mai drychiolaeth ydoedd: a hwy a waeddasant. 50 (Canys hwynt oll a'i gwelsant ef, ac a ddychrynasant) Ac yn y man yr ymddiddanodd efe â hwynt, ac y dywedodd wrthynt, Cymmerwch gysur: myfi yw; nac ofnwch. 51 Ac efe a aeth i fynu attynt i'r llong; a'r gwynt a dawelodd. A hwy a synnasant ynddynt eu hunain yn fwy o lawer, ac a ryfeddasant. 52 Oblegid ni ddeallasant am y torthau hynny: canys yr oedd eu calon hwynt wedi caledu. 53 Ac wedi iddynt ddyfod tros and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. 42 And they did all eat, and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. 44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men. 45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. 46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. 47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. 48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. 49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: 50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. 51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered. 52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves; for their heart was hardened. 53 And when they had passed odd, hwy a ddaethant i dir Genne-over, they came into the land of saret, ac a làniasant. Gennesaret, and drew to the shore. 54 Ac wedi eu myned hwynt allan o'r llong, hwy a'i hadnabuant ef yn ebrwydd. 55 Ac wedi iddynt redeg trwy gwbl o'r goror hwnnw, hwy a ddechreuasant ddwyn oddi amgylch mewn gwelyau rai cleifion, pa le bynnag y clywent ei fod ef. 56 Ac i ba le bynnag yr elai efe i mewn, i bentrefi, neu ddinasoedd, neu wlad, hwy a osodent y cleifion yn yr heolydd, ac a attolygent iddo gael o honynt gyffwrdd cymmaint ag âg ymyl ei wisg ef: a chynnifer ag a gyffyrddasant âg ef, a iachâwyd. 2 A phan welsant rai o'i ddisgyblion ef â dwylaw cyffredin (hynny ydyw, heb olchi) yn bwytta bwyd, hwy a argyhoeddasant. 3 Canys y Phariseaid, a'r holl luddewon, oni bydd iddynt olchi eu dwylaw yn fynych, ni fwyttânt; gan ddal traddodiad yr hynafiaid. 4 A phan ddelont o'r farchnad, oni bydd iddynt ymolchi, ni fwyttânt. A llawer o bethau eraill y sydd, y rhai a gymmerasant i'w cadw; megis golchi cwppanau, ac ystenau, ac efyddynau, a byrddau. 5 Yna y gofynodd y Phariseaid a'r ysgrifenyddion iddo, Paham nad yw dy ddisgyblion di yn rhodio yn ol traddodiad yr hynafiaid, ond bwytta eu bwyd â dwylaw heb olchi? 6 Ond efe a attebodd ac a ddywedodd wrthynt, Da y prophwydodd Esaias am 54 And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him, 55 And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. 56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole. TH CHAPTER VII. THEN came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem. 2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen hands, they found fault. 3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. 4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brazen vessels, and of tables. 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? 6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied danoch chwi, of you hypocrites, as it is written, ragrithwyr, fel y mae yn ysgrif- This people honoureth me with › enedig, Y mae y bobl hyn yn fy their lips, but their heart is far anrhydeddu i â'u gwefusau, ond from me. eu calon sydd bell oddi wrthyf. 7 Eithr ofer y maent yn fy addoli, gan ddysgu yn lle dysgeidiaeth, orchymynion dynion. 7 Howbeit in vain do they wor ship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 Canys, gan adael heibio orchymyn Duw, yr ydych yn dal traddodiad dynion; sef golchiadau ystenau a chwppanau: a llawer eraill o'r cyffelyb bethau yr ydych yn eu gwneuthur. 9 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Gwych yr ydych yn rhoi heibio gorchymyn Duw, fel y cadwoch eich traddodiad eich hunain. 10 Canys Moses a ddywedodd, Anrhydedda dy dad a'th fam: a'r hwn a felldithio dad neu fam, bydded farw y farwolaeth. 11 Ac meddwch chwithau, Os dywed dyn wrth ei dad neu ei fam, | Corban, hynny yw, Rhodd, trwy ba beth bynnag y ceit lês oddi wrthyf fi; difai fydd. 12 Ac nid ydych mwyach yn gadael iddo wneuthur dim i'w dad neu i'w fam: 13 Gan ddirymmu gair Duw â'ch traddodiad eich hunain, yr hwn a draddodasoch chwi: a llawer o gyffelyb bethau a hynny yr ydych yn eu gwneuthur. 14 A chwedi galw atto yr holl dyrfa, efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Gwrandewch chwi oll arnaf, a deallwch. 15 Nid oes dim allan o ddyn yn myned i mewn iddo, a ddichon ei halogi ef: eithr y pethau sydd yn dyfod allan o hono, y rhai hynny yw y pethau sydd yn halogi dyn. 16 Od oes gan neb glustiau i wrando, gwrandawed. 17 A phan ddaeth efe i mewn i'r tŷ oddi wrth y bobl, ei ddisgyblion a ofynasant iddo am y ddammeg. 18 Yntau a ddywedodd wrthynt, Ydych chwithau hefyd mor ddiddeall? Oni wyddoch am bob peth oddi allan a êl i mewn i ddyn, na all hynny ei halogi ef; 19 Oblegid nid yw yn myned i'w galon ef, ond i'r bol; ac yn myned allan i'r geudy, gan garthu yr holl fwydydd? 20 Ac efe a ddywedodd, Yr hyn 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 12 And ye suffer him no more to do aught for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. 14 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: 15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. 16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. 18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; 19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purg. ing all meats? 20 And he said, That which com. |
