3 Yr hwn oedd â'i drigfan ym mhlith y beddau; ac ni allai neb, ïe, â chadwynau, ei rwymo ef: 4 O herwydd ei rwymo ef yn fynych â llyffetheiriau, ac â chadwynau, a darnio o hono y cadwynau, a dryllio y llyffetheiriau: ac ni allai neb ei ddofi ef.

5 Ac yn wastad nos a dydd yr oedd efe yn llefain yn y mynyddoedd, ac ym mhlith y beddau, ac yn ei dorri ei hun â cherrig.

6 Ond pan ganfu efe yr Iesu o hirbell, efe a redodd ac a'i haddolodd ef;

7 A chan waeddi â llef uchel, efe a ddywedodd, Beth sydd i mi a wnelwyf â thi, Iesu Mab y Duw goruchaf? yr ydwyf yn dy dynghedu trwy Dduw, na phoenech fi. 8 (Canys dywedasai wrtho, Yspryd aflan, dos allan o'r dyn)

9 Ac efe a ofynodd iddo, Beth yw dy enw? Yntau a attebodd, gan ddywedyd, Lleng yw fy enw: am fod llawer o honom.

10 Ac efe a fawr-ymbiliodd âg ef, na yrrai efe hwynt allan o'r wlad.

11 Ond yr oedd yno ar y mynyddoedd genfaint fawr o foch yn pori.

12 A'r holl gythreuliaid a attolygasant iddo, gan ddywedyd, Danfon ni i'r moch, fel y gallom fyned i mewn iddynt.

13 Ac yn y man y caniattâodd yr Iesu iddynt. A'r ysprydion aflan, wedi myned allan, a aethant mewn i'r moch: a rhuthrodd y genfaint dros y dibyn i'r môr (ac ynghylch dwy fil oeddynt) ac a'u boddwyd yn y môr.

14 A'r rhai a borthent y moch a ffoisant, ac a fynegasant y peth yn y ddinas, ac yn y wlad: a hwy a aethant allan i weled beth oedd hyn a wnaethid.

3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are

many.

10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great heră of swine feeding.

12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine; and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand,)

and were choked in the sea.

14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

15 A hwy a ddaethant at yr Iesu, ac a welsant y cythreulig, yr hwn y buasai y lleng ynddo, yn eistedd, ac yn ei ddillad, ac yn ei iawn bwyll; ac a ofnasant.

16 A'r rhai a welsant a fynegasant iddynt, pa fodd y buasai i'r cythreulig, ac am y moch.

15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

19 Ond yr Iesu ni adawodd iddo; eithr dywedodd wrtho, Dos i'th dŷ at yr eiddot, a mynega iddynt pa faint a wnaeth yr Arglwydd erot, ac iddo drugarhâu wrthyt.

20 Ac efe a aeth ymaith, ac a ddechreuodd gyhoeddi trwy Decapolis, pa bethau eu maint a wnaethai yr Iesu iddo. A phawb a ryfeddasant.

21 Ac wedi i'r Iesu drachefn fyned mewn llong i'r làn arall, ymgasglodd tyrfa fawr atto: ac yr oedd efe wrth y môr.

22 Ac wele, un o bennaethiaid y synagog a ddaeth, a'i enw Jairus: a phan ei gwelodd, efe a syrthiodd wrth ei draed ef.

23 Ac efe a fawr-ymbiliodd âg ef, gan ddywedyd, Y mae fy merch fechan ar drange: attolwg i ti ddyfod, a dodi dy ddwylaw arni, fel yr iachâer hi; a byw fydd.

24 A'r Iesu a aeth gyd âg ef: a thyrfa fawr a'i canlynodd ef, ac a'i gwasgasant ef.

25 A rhyw wraig, yr hon a fuasai mewn diferlif gwaed ddeuddeng mlynedd,

26 Ac a oddefasai lawer gan laweroedd o feddygon, ac a dreuliasai gymmaint ag oedd ar ei helw, ac ni chawsai ddim llesâd, eithr yn hytrach myned waeth-waeth,

27 Pan glybu hi am yr Iesu, hi a

he might be with him.

19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

21 ¶ And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him; and he was nigh unto the

sea.

22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

23 And besought him greatly, say. ing, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. 24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.

25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27 When she had heard of Jesus,

28 Canys hi a ddywedasai, Os cyffyrddaf â'i ddillad ef, iach fyddaf. 29 Ac yn ebrwydd y sychodd ffynhonnell ei gwaed hi: a hi a wybu yn ei chorph ddarfod ei hiachâu o'r pla.

came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30 And Jesus, immediately know

31 A'i ddisgyblion a ddywedasant wrtho, Ti a weli y dyrfa yn dy wasgu, ac a ddywedi di, Pwy a'm cyffyrddodd ?

32 Ac yntau a edrychodd o amgylch, i weled yr hon a wnaethai hyn.

33 Ond y wraig, gan ofni a chrynu, yn gwybod beth a wnaethid ynddi, a ddaeth ac a syrthiodd ger ei fron ef, ac a ddywedodd iddo yr holl wirionedd.

34 Ac efe a ddywedodd wrthi, Ha ferch, dy ffydd a'th iachâodd: dos mewn heddwch, a bydd iach o'th bla.

35 Ac efe etto yn llefaru, daeth rhai o dŷ pennaeth y synagog, gan ddywedyd, Bu farw dy ferch: i ba beth etto yr afonyddi yr Athraw?

36 A'r Iesu, yn ebrwydd wedi clywed y gair a ddywedasid, a ddywedodd wrth bennaeth y synagog, Nac ofna; cred yn unig.

37 Ac ni adawodd efe neb i'w ddilyn, ond Petr, ac lago, ac Ioan brawd Iago.

38 Ac efe a ddaeth i dŷ pennaeth y synagog, ac a ganfu y cynnwrf, a'r rhai oedd yn wylo ac yn ochain llawer.

39 Ac wedi iddo fyned i mewn, efe a ddywedodd wrthynt, Paham y gwnewch gynnwrf, ac yr wylwch? ni bu farw yr eneth, eithr cysgu y mae.

31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead; why troublest thou the Master any further?

36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James,

and John the brother of James.

38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

41 Ac wedi ymaflyd yn llaw yr eneth, efe a ddywedodd wrthi, Talitha, cwmi; yr hyn o'i gyfieithu yw, Yr eneth (yr wyf yn dywedyd wrthyt) cyfod.

42 Ac yn y fan y cyfododd yr eneth, ac a rodiodd: canys deuddeng mlwydd oed ydoedd hi. A synnu a wnaeth arnynt â syndod

mawr.

43 Ac efe a orchymynodd iddynt yn gaeth, na chai neb wybod hyn; ac a ddywedodd am roddi peth iddi i'w fwytta.

PENNOD VI.

C efe a aeth ymaith oddi yno, A defe a aeth hyn;

he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, (I say unto thee,) Farise.

42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great as

tonishment.

43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

CHAPTER VI.

and came into his own counND he went out from thence,

2 Ac wedi dyfod y sabbath, efe a ddechreuodd athrawiaethu yn y synagog: a synnu a wnaeth llawer a'i clywsant, gan ddywedyd, O ba le y daeth y pethau hyn i hwn? a pha ddoethineb yw hwn a roed iddo, fel y gwnaid y cyfryw nerthoedd trwy ei ddwylaw ef?

3 Onid hwn yw y saer, mab Mair, brawd Iago, a Joses, a Judas, a Simon? ac onid yw ei chwïorydd ef yma yn ein plith ni? A hwy a rwystrwyd o'i blegid ef.

4 Ond yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrthynt, Nid yw prophwyd yn ddibris ond yn ei wlad ei hun, ac ym mhlith ei genedl ei hun, ac yn ei dŷ ei hun. 5 Ac ni allai efe yno wneuthur dim gwyrthiau, ond rhoi ei ddwylaw ar ychydig gleifion, a'u hiachâu hwynt.

6 Ac efe a ryfeddodd o herwydd eu hanghrediniaeth: ac a aeth i'r pentrefi oddi amgylch, gan athrawiaethu.

7¶ Ac efe a alwodd y deuddeg, ac a ddechreuodd eu danfon hwynt

2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. 5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them
