Foreword

The Immigration and Naturalization Service is pleased to publish the fourth volume of selected administrative decisions under the immigration and nationality laws covering the period from February 1950 to January 1953. These decisions, as listed in pertinent conversion tables herein, have already been made available to the public as "Interim Decisions".

The "Notice Regarding Decisions in Volumes I, II and III” which appeared in the third volume has been extended to include the material in Volume IV (pp. XVI-XVIII). This "notice" indicates decisions. which have been affected by later administrative or judicial decision. However, it does not reflect changes effected by statute or regulation. For convenient reference the index in this volume is cumulative.

As the Service desires to keep the public currently informed of these administrative decisions, it will continue the practice of distributing them as "Interim Decisions" to its main field offices where they may be perused by the public in advance of publication in bound volume form.
