From a the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazarenan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; (for these are his sides east and west;) 1 a portion for Dan. 2 And by the border of Dan, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Asher. 3 And by the border of Asher, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Naphtali. 4 And by the border of Naphtali, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Manasseh. 5 And by the border of Manasseh, from the east side unto the west side, a portion for Ephraim. 6 And by the border of Ephraim, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Reuben. 7 And by the border of Reuben, from the east side even unto the west side, a portion for Judah. 8 And by the border of Judah, from the east side unto the west side, shall be the offeringb which ye shall offer of five and twenty thousand reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the other parts, from the east side unto the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it. 9 The oblation that ye shall offer unto the LORD shall be of five and twenty thousand in length, and of ten thousand in breadth. 10 And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy oblation; toward the north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length, and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof. 11 2 It shall be for the priests c that are sanctified of the sons of Zadok; which have kept my 3 charge, which went not astray when the children of Israel went astray, as d the Levites went astray. 12 And this oblation of the land that is offered shall be unto them a thing most holy by the border of the Levites. 13 And over against the border of the priests the Levites shall have five and twenty thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be five and twenty thousand, and the breadth ten thousand. 14 And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, e nor alienate the first fruits ƒ of the land for it is holy unto the LORD. CHAPTER II. 1 Nebuchadnezzar forgetteth his dream: 14 It is revealed to Daniel. 31 The dream, and interpretation thereof. AND in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith a his spirit was troubled and his sleep brake from him. 2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to show the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. 13 And the decree went forth that turn of his the wise men should be slain; and people from the Babylo- they sought Daniel and his fellows nian capti- to be slain. 14 T Then Daniel 4 answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the 5 captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon: vity, though Ps. 110.1. Thou art this head of gold. 39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferiorg to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which h shall bear rule over all the earth. 40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. 41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly 16 broken. 43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave 17 one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. 44 And in 18 the days of these kings shall the God i of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the 19 kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break k in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. 45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain 20 without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass 21 hereafter; and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. 46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him. 47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. 48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the m governors over all the wise men of Babylon. |
