EZEKIEL, XXXIV. tenth month, in the fifth day of the B. C. 587. month, that b one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto nie, saving, The city is smitten.
22 Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore

had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; ands my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.

26 Ye stand upon your sword, yet work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land? 27 Say thou thus unto them. 7 Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD. 31 And they come g unto thee 7 as the people cometh, and 8 they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for hwith their mouth they 9 show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds, Wo a be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
8 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed m themselves, and fed not my flock; 9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
10 Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require n my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease o from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth. that they may not be meat for them. 11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seekp them out.
12 2 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark g day.

15 I will feed u my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between 3 cattle and cattle, between y the rams and the 4 hegoats.

27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
29 Andi I will raise up for them a plant 5 of renown, and they shall be no more 6 consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.

6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne thei shame of the heathen:
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. 8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.
15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thoa bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord God.
16 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
17 Son of nian, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled u it by their own way, before me as the uncleanness v of and by their doings; their way was a removed woman.
18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood w that

20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.
21 T But I had pity for mine holy y name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your z sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine a holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen whither ye went.
27 And I will put my Spirit 7 within you, and cause you to walk m in iny statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, n and I will be your God.
29 I will also save o you from all your uncleannesses; and I will calip for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
23 And I b will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you c before 5 their eyes.
21 For Id will take you from among the heathen, and gather you' out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

31 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; u and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
