Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things: so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide; neither will he keep his anger forever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the cast is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion; bless the Lord, O my soul.

PSALM XXV.

NTO thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

UN

O my God, I trust in thee, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed; let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Show me thy ways, O Lord, teach me thy paths.

Lead me in thy truth and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy lovingkindnesses, for they have been ever of old.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy mercy remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

Good and upright is the Lord, therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

PSALM CIV. to v. 9.

BLESS the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, thou art

very great! Thou art clothed with honor and majesty! Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain.

Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; who maketh the clouds his chariot; who walketh upon the wings of the wind.

Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire.

Who laid the foundations of the earth; that it should not be removed forever.

Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

They go up by the mountains, they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

Twelfth and Thirteenth Days, A. M.

PSALM XXVII.

HE Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked came upon me to devour me, even mine enemies and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me; therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice; have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away

in anger; thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies; for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Twelfth and Thirteenth Days, P. M.

PSALM CVII.

GIVE thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever!

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

They wandered in the wilderness in a lonely way, they found no city to dwell in.

Hungry and thirsty, their souls fainted within them.

Then they cried unto the Lord, in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, for his wonderful works to the children of men.

and

For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and in iron:

Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High:

Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help.

Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.

For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Their soul abhorreth all kinds of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

O that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.

Fourteenth Day, A. Pa

PSALM XXX.

WILL extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed

me.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave; thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his anger endureth but a moment: in his favor is
