9 Ye fhall offer no ftrange incenfe there on, nor burnt facrifice, nor meat-offering; neither fhall ye pour drink-offering thereon 10 And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a yeare,with the bloud of the fin-offering of atonements: once in the yeare shall he make atonement upon it, throughout your generations: it s moft holy unto the LORD.

12 When thou takeft the fumme of the children of Ifrael, after † their number; then fhall they give every man a ranfome for his foul unto the LORD, when thou numbreft them that there be no plague amongst them, when thou numbreft them.


13 This they fhall give,every one that paffeth among them that are numbred; half a fhekel after the fhekel of the fanctuary (*A Nu fhekel is twentie gerahs)an half-fhekel fhall be the offering of the LORD.

19 For Aaron and his fons fhall wash their hands and their feet thereat.

20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they fhall wash with water, that they die not: or when they come near to the altar to minifter,to burn offering, made by fire unto the LORD.

21 So they fhall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it fhall be a ftatute for ever to them, even to him and to his feed throughout their generations. 22 Moreover the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

23 Take thou alfo unto thee principall fpices, of pure myrrhe five hundred hekels, and of fweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fiftie (hekels, and of fweet calamus two hundred & fiftie hekels, 24 And of caffia five hundred shekels,after the fhekel of the fanctuary, and of oylolive an * hin.

30 And thou fhalt anoint Aaron and his fons, and confecrate them, that they may minifter unto me in the priests office. 31 And thou shalt fpeak unto the children of Ifrael, faying, This fhall be an holy anointing oyl unto me, throughout your generations.

32 Upon mans flefh fhall it not be poured, neither fhall ye make any other like it, after the compofition of it: it is holy, and it fhall be holy unto you.

33 Whofoever compoundeth any like it, or whofoever putteth any of it upon a ftranger, fhall even be cut off from his people.

34 ¶ And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Take unto thee fweet fpices, ftact:, and onycha, and galbanum; thefe fweet spices with pure frankincenfe: of each shall there be a like weight.

35 And thou fhalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecarie, tempered together, pure and holy.


36 And thou fhaft beat fome of it very fmall, and put of it before the teftimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where will meet with thee: it fhall be unto you most holy.

9 And it came to paffe, as Mofes entred into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar defcended, and ftood at the door of the tabernacle,and the LORD talked with Moses.

16 For wherein fhall it be known here, that I and thy people have found grace in thy fight? Is it not in that thou goeft with us? So fhall we be feparated, I and thy people,from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, I will do this thing alfo that thou haft spoken: for thou haft found grace in my fight, and I know thee by name.

18 And he faid, I befeech thee, fhew me thy glory.

19 And he faid, I will make all my goodneffe paffe before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee;* and * Rom. will be gracious to whom I will be graci- 9.15. ous, and will fhew mercy on whom I will fhew mercy.

20 And he faid, Thou canst not fee iny face: for there fhall no man fee me, and live.

8 And Mofes made hafte, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. 9 And he faid, If now I have found grace in thy fight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go amongst us (for it is a ftiff-necked people) and pardon our iniquity and our fin, and take us for thine inheritance.
