To deal with national security and scientific developments affecting foreign policy; strategic planning and agreements; war powers and executive agreements legislation; Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and all aspects of arms control and disarmament with particular emphasis on the investigation and evaluation of arms control and disarmament proposals and concepts; security aspects of nuclear technology and materials; international terrorism with special focus on the U.S. Government's policies and programs for combating international terrorist movements and actions; oversight of military aspects of foreign policy and foreign intelligence; and oversight of State and Defense Department activities involving arms transfers, arms export licenses, administration of security assistance, arms sales, foreign military training and advisory programs, and conventional arms control.
