THE ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA met, according to appointment, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the Music Hall of the Steel Pier, on Thursday, May 19, 1910, at 11 o'clock A.M., and was opened with a sermon by the Moderator, Rev. James M. Barkley, D.D., from the following texts:-Mal. iii, 10: "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse;" Acts i, 14: "These all continued with one accord in prayer;" Acts iv, 33: "With great power gave the apostles witness."

After the sermon, the Assembly was constituted with prayer.

The Chairman of the Committee of Arrangements reported, recommending a recess until 3 o'clock P.M.; that the hours of meeting be 9 A.M. to 12.30 P.M., and 2.30 to 5.30 P.M., the hour for the popular meetings to be 8 P.M., and that the first half-hour of the morning sessions be assigned to devotional services. The Report was adopted.

The Assembly took recess, and was closed with prayer.

The Assembly met, and was opened with prayer.

Upon the Report of the Permanent Committee on Commissions, the following Ministers and Elders were recognized as duly appointed Commissioners, and their names were entered upon the
