The moon will not give her light,

The stars will fall from heaven,

24: 29.

And the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven.

And then will all the tribes of the earth

mourn.

And will see the Son of man
Coming on the clouds of heaven
With power and great glory.
And he will send out his angels

With a great sound of a trumpet,

And they will gather together his chosen.

ones,

From the four winds,

From one end of heaven to the other.

Now learn a parable from the fig-tree:

When its branch has now become tender,
And puts out its leaves,

You know summer is near.

In the same way you also,

When you shall see all these things,
Know it is near,--at the doors.

To tell you the truth:

This generation will not pass away,
Till all these things happen.

24:35.

Heaven and earth will pass away,

But my words will never pass away.

But of that day and hour, no one knows,
Not even the angels of heaven,

Nor the Son,

But the Father only.

For just as the days of Noah,

So will the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days before the flood,
They were eating and drinking,
Marrying and giving in marriage,
Till the day Noah entered the ark,
And they did not know

Till the flood came and took them all away,

So will the coming of the Son of man be.

Then will two men be in the field.

One is taken, and one is left.

Two women will be grinding at the mill,

One is taken, and one is left.

So watch.

For you do not know

What day your Lord is coming,

But know this,

That if the master of the house had known

At what time the thief was coming,

24:43.

He would have watched,

And would not have allowed

His house to be broken through.
So you also be ready.

For at an hour you do not think
The Son of man is coming.

Who then is the faithful and wise slave

Whom his master has set over his household, To give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that slave,

Whom his master when he comes

Will find doing as he was bidden.
To tell you the truth,

He will set him over all he has.

But if that wicked slave

Shall say in his heart,

My master is delaying,

And shall begin to beat his fellow-slaves, And shall eat and drink with the drunken, The master of that slave

Will come in a day he does not expect,
And in an hour he does not know,

And will cut him asunder,

And appoint his portion with the hypocrites.

There will be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.

25: I.

The Kingdom of Heaven will then be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Five of them were foolish and five were wise. For the foolish took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Now while the bridegroom was delaying they all became drowsy and went to sleep. But at midnight a shout was raised:

Look! the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.

Then all the bridesmaids got up and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise : Give us some of your oil. For our lamps are going out.

But the wise answered:

There may not be enough for us and you. Go rather to those who sell and buy for yourselves.

But while they were going to buy the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage-feast, and the door was shut.

Afterwards the other bridesmaids came and

said:

Lord, lord, open to us.

But he answered :

To tell you the truth, I do not know you.

25: 13.

So watch, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

For it is just like when a man going abroad called his own slaves, handed over to them his goods, gave to one five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability, and went abroad.

The one who received five talents at once went and traded with them and gained five more.

In the same way the one who received the two gained two more.

But the one who received the one went and dug in the earth and hid his master's money.

Now after a long time the master of those slaves comes and has an accounting with them. And the one who received the five talents came and brought five more talents and said:

Master you handed over to me five talents. See, I have gained five talents more.

Well, good and faithful slave, his master said to him, you have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your master.

The one who received the two talents came. Master, he said, you handed over to me two talents. See, I have gained two talents more. Well, good and faithful slave, you have been
