79. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. PSA. lvii. 1.

80. Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. PSA. lx. 11; cviii. 12.

81. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed : lead me to the rock that is higher than I. PSA. lxi. 2.

82. Thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. PSA. lxvi. 10, 11.

83. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

90. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of

thy law; that thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. PSA. xciv. 12, 13.

91. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. PSA. cii. 17.

92. Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry. PSA. cvi. 44.

93. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. PSA. Cvii. 6, 13, 19, 28.

103. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. PSA, cxxvi. 5, 6.

104. Who remembered us in our low estate for his mercy endureth for ever. PSA. cxxxvi. 23.

105. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me.
